*closer then i expected and funny thing is some RTX 2080-RTX 2080Tis are cheaper used then RX6700 Xts used now id say if you play newer games then stick to RTX 3060 12g/RX6700 XT and any new 12gig VRAM Gpu but if like me your playing more older titles and at mostly 1080p then the RTX 2080 cards are still Gold*

Hi,which param i should select in afterburner for check real gpu power usage?

That value is not from afterburner, I'm measuring it externally via an external device that hooks to the power supply cables and pcie port and measures how much electricity passes through the cables to get the real power consumption value instead of the one reported by the bios that is the one that afterburner and other software shows. The device I use is this one from ElmorLabs: elmorlabs.com/product/elmorlabs-pmd-usb-power-measurement-device-with-usb/ Now that I think about it I should explain it better, I'll add it to the description.

Idk if you are still responding to comments. I have a 2080s and have been considering upgrading. My CPU is currently an i5 9600k and ppl are telling me that getting an i5 13600k and maybe some new ram would be enough to improve my gaming fps. Is it worth getting a whole new gpu or can I extend the life of my 2080s? I game at 1080

Yes, I always try to respond. To your question it depends mainly about the games you play. That i5 it's not really good in terms of multi threaded performance but for older games it will do just fine and won't bottleneck the RTX 2080S. But for 1080p with that GPU I would suggest upgrading to that CPU or something like it, as if you want to game at high frame rates the RTX 2080s should still be able to give up more at 1080p and it's probably getting bottlenecked by the CPU on modern games or eSports titles so yeah, I think it's a good idea and also you would get into a more modern platform with ddr5 and newer features.

That should have no bottleneck at all for an RTX 3060 Ti, you could put much more powerful GPUs without any problem.

Seems a little expensive to me right now, I would look for other similar cards and maybe AMD options to see how the pricing for you on those is as you can maybe find a better deal
