Someone in the comment section said something about consoles games are optimized so I question about Stalker 2 not releasing on PS5. He shut up. Even on Xbox series X, Stalker 2 isn't getting 60 fps stable. Some areas even dip below 40. What's the excuse now? Stalker 2 devs still releasing patches for this game. It depends on the games you are playing, i remember that Cyberpunk 2077 runs in the 2060 super, i know there's a big gap between normal and super but despite that, it sures runs it on medium. Honestly, systems aren't "weak", they are created with things on mind. Generally the 60's on Nvidia generations tend to be the cheapest entry, the 3060 nowadays got his well known 300 bucks same for the 4060. So, using the word "Weak" is incorrect, if you are saying for modern games? Nukem's Frame Gen Mod works and feels much much better on my 3060 12GB compared to in game built FSR3 for me, getting avg smooth 95-100 FPS+ on 1080p Epic Textures/Antialiasing/Post Processing + High Sky/Fog/Weather/Depth of Field + All else is Medium + DLSS Quality + FG Mod in Stalker 2 and I can definetly notice the smoothness difference on 144Hz display when I use the Nukem's mod, if I only enable DLSS Quality it runs slower, feels worse and Mod absolutely worth using, it's the same for other DLSS3 Supported games as well, I bet this mod feels almost as great as RTX 40 series can do.. However, official FSR3.1 Frame Gen works absolutely greater in Sony Playstation PC Ports, well this might be just exception for RTX 20 & 30 series I guess...

Love your indepth vid man. I personally tried this with a rtx 3060 12 gig with an i7 8700k nearly 5Ghz OC'd rig and I was having extreme framtime jumps when I enabled the FSR FG over my DLSS Q or DLAA. Updating to Nvidia Stalker 2 driver clean installation fixed it. I can tell the game is really CPU heavy. Even one of my mates with with ryzen 3600 and 6700xt not having good performance due to CPU issue or something. I personally played a lit bit more than the prologue having my graphics preset on medium with texture on High, Motion Blur 0 and DoF Low, Sharpness 20% setting with DLAA + FSR FG and I get around 60-110fps depending on the scene of course on FHD adaptive sync screen and the input lag is tolerable keeping nvidia reflex enabled under the Display tab. Also I used the Stalker 2 Optimizer "Default" mod from nexus which also aided me greatly each time I relaunch the game :D

So that's why I was checking this benchmark here too. That VRAM at higher settings does make a difference and some games are just optimized better for some vendors.

Turning on NVIDIA reflex in RivaTuner (Setup-> General -> async -> NVIDIA reflex) can reduce input lag (system latency) down to 50ms from 100ms when using a FG solution. Still not a competitive FPS feeling (20ms) but much more responsive.

After some tests i manage to fix dlss+FSR fg. Go to Nvidia control panel and turn on vsync on fast, power management on performance and turn on low latency mode, in game settings turn on dlss + FSR fg, turn off reflex and vsync, uncap frame rate, settings high, then shadow quality, global lightning and foliage on medium (these 3 settings is most fps affective). In dat case there is no input lag with average 100 fps. Also nexusmods for some fixes.

I overcame the staters by limiting my fps to 60. Now I have a perfect frame rate outside of settlements. By the way, I didn't know that nvidia reflex reduces fps. Now fps in settlements does not drop below 50. Thank you. I play on 3060 in 1080p on high settings with dlss on quality. For greater stability, overclocked to 2200+ MHz.

ok so for 1080p with a 3060ti and ryzen 5 7600. medium preset, set textures to epic, antialiasing to high. dlaa on, frame gen on, reflex on. Im getting decent 110+ avg frames and frame generation keeps the 1% low close to 100 and in extreme cases above 70, so the drops are much less noticeable. you could get some more frames with dlss quality, but the image is too soft at 1080p

The 3060 performed better than I thought it would with DLSS Quality at 1080p, but we have to keep in mind that he was using a 7800X 3D. Comparing the games from 2022 the requirements to run a video game has risen insanely . The 1060 launched in 2016 was able to run games on high settings till 2022 . But look at the 3060,4060 its borderline irrelevant now in 2024 . Nvdia is slowly turning the 60 tier card to the 50 tier card .

11:42 the majority of the input lag is not lag from frame gen. You're noticing the mouse smoothing baked into the game. You can tweak it in the .ini file and you'll immediately notice the difference even with frame gen on. This game was so obviously not made for PC.

Even though the developers have gone through a lot, this is absolutely unacceptable optimization. I hoped for a good Stalker 2 and this isn't playable. Needs at least one more year of patches and optimization. This should never been released that way. It's so sad and just a shame. I don't mind playing my games, especially single player games, with DLSS + frame generation on my 3060, when I do it on graphic presets high or maximum. Which clearly is me stretching the GPUs performance. I think that it's unacceptable for low/medium settings nowadays on a medium range gpus to still require dlss to break over 60fps in 1080p. He'll even 720p sometimes is too hard jn some of UE5 games to run native on these graphic cards.

The major problem I see here is the frametime...with a 7950X3D. Imagine the people who still have a R5 3600, i5 10400F, 11400F, 12400F, 5600X, 3700X, etc. Also that RAM usage is crazy, 16gb setups are being phased out.

The game is developed on old UE 5.1 version, which works much worse than newer versions, 5.4 or 5.5. They should port it to new versions.

My 3060 ti runs it okay at 1440p with DLSS . Keeps a steady 60fps if you stay on medium texture anything higher caused stutters

this is basically an unoptimized remaster of the first 3 stalker games putting all the areas into a single game. i didnt spend 10 years waiting for THAT. play chernobylite instead. which also runs better.

3:53 ive had enemies in 1 area eat 3 headshots from a maxed SVD before dropping on veteran difficulty, and some even took like 45 rounds of 545 PS to center mass or like 5 headshots and still popped me some health values are bonkers

You have to have 4090 and intel 14900k to play this game if you want normal experience , on 1080p even then you will have problems. I am skipping buying this game for now until something is fixed i would rather play stalker gamma

I believe that games are optimised but hidden unless FSR or DLSS or XeSS are used. Maybe its not upscaling. Its just locking our frames so that we believe upscaling is great 😃. I don't know its just my theory.

On my rx 7600, i was getting 40-50 on epic, on high it was close to 60. But the stutters are annoying, but seeing 3060 with 12 vram, i think that makes a different.
