FG from Nvidia is a hardware-related technology, while FG from FSR3 is not. What do you expect Nvidia to do when the RTX 30 series don't have the processing unit for FG? It's the same case with DLSS, there's a reason why it looks way better than FSR, there are specific processors on the GPU for that task.

There is no reason to use FSR3 with a 40 series card. FSR3 is only useful for those without one, as it allows those with a 30 series card and below to use frame generation.

On a 3070Ti here, play at 1080p, all maxed out, DLSS Quality, getting 60 FPS at a minimum but usually 80 - 100 FPS. Thinking I may need to test out native 1080p and dropping a few settings though, see if that makes the water look better or not, because it really is the one downside to this game visually, and Ubisoft does have some really great looking water on the Far Cry engine, Far Cry 6's water is fantastic and does not tank FPS.. Different engine though, so easier said than done... But surely there's something they can do.. It just seems like the water is undulating too much, when it is still / nearly still the reflections look "OK" but when the waves pick up even just a bit the quality goes down a lot. I get what they're trying to acheive with the 3D displacement of the water, it is very taxing and technically advanced, but if it doesn't look great I say it is better to just have far less of the 3D displacement effect, and instead have sharper/clearer reflections happening in it. Oh well.

Could you test the performance at Zeswa's main base, The Circle, when you get a chance? My CPU load in particular goes completely crazy there and shoots up to 100%, the frame rate drops to an unplayable 40 fps - and that's with a 10700k and a 3080. I generally have very poor frametimes when there are lots of enemies around.

In a desktop PC, 81C sounds far too high for any GPU. I'd look to change your fan curve or get better ventilation in your case/room.

Because the rest of the 4gb vram transfer itself to the main system RAM Kyrzzp is using or for that matter. Any computer does that. The downsides to this are stuttering but only in worst case scenarios where more than like 5gb's of vram is allocated to the RAM. Then the real bad stuttering starts. Hence why you won't see Kryzzp's pc stuttering since his ram is also ddr5 which helps in these situations immensely too. Hope I was able to explain more clearly. If you have any questions.
