Kinda disappointed by the rx 6700 xt, assuming this test is reliable, when I bought it I saw a lot of benchmarks where the 6700xt was almost a 3070 (always superior to a 3060 ti), so given that usually amd gpus get better with time I was not expecting such result. the rx 6700 xt has 2 good things, vram (although the vram issue is a bit overrated in my opinion) and a good price (in most countries), aside from that the 3060 ti is better.

I think it's worth pointing out that at 1080p, VRAM is even less of an issue. 1440p is where, in theory, the 6700xt should stretch its legs a bit. That being said, newer games are also starting to use more raytracing which the nvidia cards are just significantly better at. That's why stuff like Silent Hill 2 and Star Wars Outlaws have an advantage on the 3060ti. When I was buying a GPU a few years ago it was between the two, and the 6700xt did usually have a decent advantage, but I really think it's been hurt by the move to RT, even in a limited capability. The RDNA3 cards that should be about as powerful seem to outperform the RDNA2 ones by a fair amount due to their better RT performance. That being said, either option was a good choice at the time. I myself was between these two cards, and at the time the 6700xt was cheaper and came with two games (The Callisto Protocol, which was pretty meh, and Dead Island 2, which was pretty good). I've been quite happy with my first AMD purchase (hadn't had a non-nvidia card since the ATi days) all things considered. Hopefully I can hold out a few more years on an upgrade to something substantially better without spending a ton lol.

@@Torso6131 yes probably in some games at 1440p that extra VRAM can be useful. I bought the 6700 xt just because I found it used at a good price (less than the 3060ti), in fact some days ago I bought a 3080 for 350€ (in my country it is an excellent price) and it should be delivered tomorrow. I usually buy on the used market when I find a good price and then I sell my "old" GPU. Edit: I'm not upgrading just because of the extra rt performance, I plan to use some AI features and I value the extra quality of dlss.

now to all Amd and Nvidia Fanboys , we can see that the 3060ti is = to Rx6700XT so stop saying bullshit. And Vram honestly is an overrated Thing , bc if isn't optimaze is usless, i prefer 8gb of Vram well optimazed rather than 12gb bad optimazed

3060 ti was the direct competitor to rx 6700 xt. and rx 6800 is what was competing with rtx 3070

look at the power draw. My 6700 xt can do 70 average on GOWR Svata REALM if I make my power draw 190-200watts
