What I can see is that I believe both of the models here are the 100w GPU models. I believe there are mobile 4070s that use more power but if you are looking at laptops and both are 100w GPU models then definitely go for the cheaper one.

Incorrect. He isn't using a properly powered 4070 laptop. Look at the power draw, they are the same.

@@TheRandomDude-qy1ev For the most part the power draw is the same, but the 4060 and 70 reach max potential at 110W. After that you get no performance increase unless you have a 4080 or 90 which will perform better at higher wattages.

@@emplays22 My desktop 4070 super aorus master max overclocked beats the laptop 4070 at such a level that it's 2-3x higher performance. Wild. These laptop gpus are terrible.

@@TheRandomDude-qy1ev Yeah although laptop gpus are way better than years ago, they still suck compared to desktop. Thats the price to pay for portability. If it weren't for temperatures (and battery life), laptop and desktop could be pretty even. What I don't like is how they lower vram and sometimes even core count on the laptop version of a gpu.

I swear to God they're literally the same. 4070 only has advantage over 1440p at 1080p cuz it usually comes with better cpu. Both have same vram same memory bus, bandwidth and at higher res they're the same

I have 4070 and I get around 70 FPS on average

@@zyzzin6950 Brother, at higher resolutions, 4060 is so close in performance. in the test up there, you can clearly see 4060 on par with 4070 in games but only in cpu intensive games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator the 4070 performed better because of having a better cpu. Even though the comparison is not fair here because 4070 had better ram/cpu while the 4060 had i7 12650H 16GB DDR5 4800 which is worse, you can see in gpu intensive games like CP2077 they perform the same cuz 4070 has that 10-15% advantage only at 1080p but at higher res, it performs exactly close to the rtx 4060 watch this in gpu hungry game AC Valhalla , at higher res, cpu matters less in the game: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJiZk6iZeaxgZ9E Here you see the laptop 4060 beat the desktop 4060(only happens in 4060s), at times laptop loses at time laptop beats : kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6ivc5qKibl-mbc Here 4070m vs 4070m 140w in different settings at 1080p kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHqXgWeCna6Kr7c

Higher resolutions are more GPU bound, it's where the differences between GPU tiers shine better. The 4070 is like 15-25% faster overall. Same VRAM too. Not worth it.........Steam survey shows 4060 makes up 65% of all 40 series laptops.

Both of them are even at the same watts...like, wow...4070 is a waste of money then and nobody is gonna play at 1440p on a laptop because of the power, heat, performance and screen size.

who can, please express your opinion. I will buy a laptop soon, and I have a choice between configurations: r9 7945hx 4060 and r7 7745hx 4070 (the difference is $150). I doubt it, because the r9 is much more powerful than the r7

I think you should go for rtx 4070, because it has advantage on 1440p for gaming, but if you want to make 3d model or photoshop choose the r9 with rtx 4060

not every r9 is better than r7. If you wan't something more advance for gaming than take 4070, cause it will only have better optimization in future. But it's only if you have some extra money, cause the difference isn't as big in my opinion. BTW, if r9 is more powerful than 4060 than you can have bottleneck and you won't use full potential of cpu

4070m is realy like 4060m, they even didn't give 4070 a 10g vram, i would buy 4070m if it has 10g vram

Hi! Did you see differences in Mhz? throughout whole the tests 4060 had ~2600 and 4070 had ~2300, offcourse the results not so clean. You need to compare equal brands.

Asus Rog Strix G17 (82 thousand Turkish Liras) • R9-7845hx • RTX 4070 • 32GB Ram MSI Vector 17 HX (76 thousand Turkish Liras) • i9-14900hx • RTX 4060 • 32GB Ram MSI Crosshair 16 HX (65 thousand Turkish Liras) • i7-14700hx • RTX 4060 • 32GB Ram I'm stuck between these 3 computers, I'll buy it for graphic design, edit and gaming. My budget is enough for all of them, but in the forums they say that cooling, material quality and design are more useable in MSI Vector 17. Would it make sense to choose a 4060 computer instead of 4070? If I choose Asus, there will be a difference in terms of processor this time. Can you write your opinions?

rog strix is more about show rather than being price friendly, if you're looking for a less flashy and same performance, you might want to consider looking into asus's tuf series. also intel's new fiasco with 13 and 14th gen cpus might want to make you steer clear of them at least for a short while. i have an amd cpu and heat hasn't been a problem for me, unlike my last laptop which had an intel cpu in it

Rtx 4060m = 4060 Rtx 4070m = 4060ti Rtx 4080m = 4070 Rtx 4090m = 4080 You can notice that best gpu in any generation is that one which made on the same chip and has equal vram to a desktop version

maybe the 4070 is better but the 4060 run cooler and the cpu run cooler too, and if we compair the watt we can see 4060 is better for the battery health

witch means nothing when it comes to actual game perfomance.just look at msi claw hitting way higher score but ingame fps is half of rog ally

It is average about +13% for RTX4070. If you find good offer, definitely RTX4070. Especially if planning for future proof and to play with this machine more than 3 years, then every extra fps are critically important.

You're totally right, but tbh the one with the RTX 4070 was way more expensive in my country, so I just had no choice but to buy the one with the RTX 4060 I only hope I haven't lost much

What is future proof when the card 8gb vram same as rtx 4060,I bought 4060 for 1000$ and iam happy with that,when rtx 5060 come I will buy that but if the difference between 5060 and 5070 be huge then I will go for 5070

@@JP-zs8qk I know it is faster but do you look at rtx 4060 temperature? I feel it looks better,I even have like 3000$ but I don't need something big like rtx 4080 because it gonna get much higher temperature I like something be portable and have lower fan noise

@@retrogamer847 I agree. Actually these 4060/4070 are for my opinion good choices because low temp, low wattage consuming and still powerful. Ideal for laptop use. I was going to buy Legion Slim 5 with 4060 by myself too but i had good luck and got huge discount sale for customer return machine with 4070 and then it was even cheaper than 4060.
