When i bought myself 4080 this was one of the first games i checked out, and i've got to say this game is still in top 5 of most beautiful titles in my opinion despite it's age. Last of Us/Avatar/Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk are other games i would rank in top 5 :)

8K Benchmarks are very entertaining! They also have "academic" interest. I am honestly curious to see what happens at 8K even at Low settings. Yes, no one will play at 8K Low but a benchmark is a benchmark :)

When I used to have the Samsung UE590 4K 28" monitor, I played a bit of rdr2 with my gtx 1660 super and later with my rx 6650 xt. With the 1660 super I used console equivalent settings at 1440p + FSR quality and it looked amazing running at 50-60 fps, with the rx 6650 xt I used 1800p console equivalent settings (with some things upped) + FSR quality all while running at 70-80 fps. I tried 4K native on both, the 1660 super could manage only around 26 fps at low and the rx 6650 xt could manage 45 fps on medium. Really well optimized game considering I used a ryzen 5 2600. EDIT: To future proof my build a bit more I sold the 4K monitor and got a 1080p 165Hz + the other 1050p monitor I used prior to buying the 4K one

Not sure when that'll come but I tested RDR2 on the review video, it did pretty well! I don't think it's worth it to go from a 4070S to the Ti Super at 1440p, the 4070S is already excellent at it :)

If you don't have 4k screen you can set resolution scaling to x1,5 or x2,0 and it will look crisp as a cornflake. That's what i did on my 1440p ultrawide 4080/7800x3d

AMD doesn't answer me so I don't have access to their cards. However, in the past, when I bought AMD cards (and they weren't 500€+), I saw that the Nvidia cards would get way more views, so people weren't as interested in AMD. I still see the same thing, if I test a 3060Ti I get good views, if I test a 6700XT meh, if I test the Arc A770 meh... So there's more interest in Nvidia I guess. Still, I'm saving to buy a 7900XTX as I'd like to test the best AMD has to offer. It's just a shame that they don't answer my 50+ emails I sent over the years.

I know Xbox One X is not Ultra settings, but it's still crazy 6 tflop GPU from 2017 is doing 4K 30 fps in this game.

The thing is you need much more powerful GPU on PC to match 4K 30 fps experience. My RX 5700 XT was doing it around 40 fps while it's much more powerful than XOX GPU.@@zWORMzGaming

The og console gta3 and later games all ran around 15~30 fps and people loved it. Hell even now on modern consoles games like this run at a locked 30.

I think the difference was using a controller vs using a mouse. If I lock fps to 30 and try both a controller and mouse, the mouse universally feels worse. May just be how it affects me though.

whats the point of trying it at 4k or 1080p ? its just to see how much fps you can get or how it will run in most cases but you try 8k to max out the gpu and see how much you can push it definetly love the 8k parts

Such a beast, my 3080 died after 3 years of usage, decided not to get nvidia again, even though i tried 4090 last year for a month and even that had faulty heatsink and had to return it and i kept 3080 but it didn't last long :( . Definitely get nicer model of 7900 xtx Kryzzp. Nitro plus is awesome overclocker, managed to clock it at 2750mhz memory, 2950mhz core at 1.025v undervolt. It resulted in +19% more performance compared to stock reference 7900 xtx
