good video! thanx! i got the 9900ks @5.1ghz @ 1.28vcore under load! 3600mhz with btr timings was 16-16-16-36 now 14-14-14-28 and other timings changed. on a AW3821DW 144hz. 3840x1600! 4090 aorus extreme waterforce..all on a z390 gigabyte master motherboard..cod2 warzone 250fps. with corsair rm1200x shift... very happy with the results :) capped everything @141hz and play with some settings :) u can boost a lot of settings very high :) 3dmark on speedway i got 10490...

Frankly speaking,if u have over 60fps in 4k. U dont need to upgrade ur cpu until it will be really needed,if it holds up to load gpu over 90%,so well its great! Im gonna get my rtx4090 soon , its gonna be paired with i7 10700k (no difference with i9 9900k) , that’s why im actually here and watching this vid. So , no worries. Everything’s awesome!

I now have a 13600k and the GPU is now at 100% usage on all games. But the visual difference is not going to be noticeable between 97 and 100 except if you constantly watch the monitoring

Yes no problem. You really have work with the settings to find a bottle neck at 4k. It you're at 4k 144 ultra with v sync on the monitor is the bottleneck long before the CPU.

CPU change will get you maybe 5% increase in fps probably less, GPU would get you anywhere up to twice the performance depending on the game, you'll probably see yourself going from 100 FPS to 160 FPS in most games maxed. If it were my money if I were you I would go for the GPU first, wait for the next generation until you jump CPU, this one is still good for a bit No use in spending almost $1,000 to get 10% more performance out of that GPU

It's a good thing you waited because just a month since you posted this video the refreshed 13900KS is a massive disappointment, nobody should upgrade to a 13900K at this point because the platform is dead. We all learned this hard lesson with our 9900K. I'd definitely wait for the next gen CPU because the 9900K is still running okay with a 4090. Not great, but it's acceptable and it's far smarter right now to wait for Intel's next gen.

@@filiplaskovski9993 It's got a few issues tbh. Also, LGA1700 is gonna die soon. Intel's new socket is on the way and will release in a couple of months... Meaning new motherbords etc. If someone was to upgrade right now to a 13900k, the problem would be that in order to upgrade the CPU, one would have to upgrade the Motherboard as well... Which is more money. I'll wait for intel next gen to build a complete new system, buy a 4090 right now instead of my 2080ti to go with my 9900kf. I'll keep the 2080ti and when I build a complete new system, I'll just put it back into the old system. That way I have 2 PCs capable of gaming (I'll let my friends use the old one when they come at my place because as of RN they have to bring their pc to make LAN gaming parties).

I've got same setup, monitor 4k 144hz i9 9900k and 2080ti, it has been good to play at 4k 60fps, but I think it's time to swap that 2080ti for a true 4k 144hz GPU, ill keep the CPU as it is since it can really push those 144 fps on most games anyway. Thank you for the video.

Got myself a 9900k system with a 4090 Suprim x. Allthough 9000k runs at 4.9 ghz All core (but constant with all power limits turned off even in Idle) and with 32gb cl 14 3200 Memory Oc to CL14 3400MHZ. So far iam Pretty happy with the Performance But it it just strange on my 4k 120 Herz (Framelimit) Oled the Card is just Chilling at 70% Usage everything maxed out. But lets not forget we have Pcie gen3 only so the Average Fps isnt the issue what about the 1% and 0.1% frametime Variants? But yeah locked Framrate 4k to 120 will certenly be a good for now, thing till high refresh rate 4k Gaming becomes more mainstream.

I also have i9 9900k but run with 3080 ti, 32gb ddr4 4400mhz on LG UltraGear 4k and pretty much maximum fps at 130-140. Your gpu is to powerful for the rest of your system. For that beast gpu i would upgrade to the i7 13700k on ddr5 52-5300mhz to get the best out of it, BUT... like you said, money. Thanks for the video mate, interesting 👍

I had the 3090 before this. And plenty of games were stuck around 100 to 120fps and with the 4090 are now maxed at 144

I'm still running a Z390 and now were on Z790 so if i do go 4090 I'll have to go all in on 13th gen or wait til end of 23 for 14th gen. Have you thought about upgrading the cpu, if so witch one? I totally agree with what you said, Intel is king, don't go AMD. If you don't want to upgrade yet, maybe get 32gb of the highest ram your motherboard supports, that will definitely help boost your system for for a good price!
