Honestly that isn’t bad at all, my first one was awful, sent it back for a RMA and received a new card and it still has a little coil whine but no where near as bad as my first one. With the case shut you can barely hear it

Fantastic built, like myself, I use a large open up case, I have been looking for a long time for that kind of video. (around 12 hours of research) I cannot hear any coil on yours, just the fans, so looks like this is very good. A lot of other reviewers reported coil whine with the MSI 4090s and generallyall 4090s. For me, with my open up case sitting next to my ears, buying a £2300 GPU and swapping it with my excellent and silent 3090TI suprim X and having to deal with a buzzing noise even at idle would be my worst nightmare. Your set up shows on the contrary that the GPU you purchased seems excellent. Your hardware is amazing. Thanks for sharing. ps: good that you did not voice over the recording like some others do, makes it easier to listen So yea, I feel like buying that same MSI but freak out about the potential coil noise when idle.

Coil noise is a total lottery. My 4090 FE has it and my Suprim X (air-cooled version) doesn’t. Each individual specimen of card has different coil whine characteristics

My PC is only 80mm wide, its have almost the same size like a PS5. But its High-Performance with RX 7900 XTX OC + 13.600K + 64GB DDR5 + 3TB NVME. Its possible to play Smooth in 5K, or 8K with FSR. No RGB, its in a wouderful Design Case.

Were you running a load during this video? Coil whine usually doesn't happen at idle. I bought a Strix 3080 last year and it was totally fine until 3 hours into a game it suddenly started screeching loudly.

I want a 4090 by I really can’t deal with having to run wires from my power supply to new gpu. I have a psu shield on the bottom of my case and the worst pile of tangled wires in the back of the case.

I have 9 case fans, and another 8 just for my CPU radiator. They are all PWM and have differnent values. But at Idel the 200mm fans are at 400rpm and the 120mm fans are at 1000rpm

There is something that sounds like a C-state induced coil whine from your Mobo but it might be something else as your setup is quite loud... Is this your first 4090 Suprim X or did you have to go through few to get a quiet one?
