This is the 2 months and 10 days updates of Rubber Plant pruning done last July 13, 2020. Also the 1 month updates of Ficus Elastica or Rubber Tree Plant soil and water propagation done last August 22, 2020.

Great videos. I have a rubber plant that was my grandma's and I cut it a couple of weeks ago because it was not doing good... the leaves were curling. I've put the cuttings in a cup.with water, and another one in soil. Now that I saw your videos I realized I've done it wrong, so I'll fix it! Fingers crossed, I'd love to have it for so many years!

Thank you for supporting my channel. There are many factors why your plant’s leaf is curled. It maybe the humidity, under and over watering, pest, and also a sudden change in environmental temperature.

I have been told that end cuttings grow quicker for most houseplants but it looks like with the rubber tree the opposite is true? I looks like the lower nodes formed roots much faster then the end cuttings, correct?

In rubber plant the roots are usually starts forming at the end of the cutting and the nodes is usually where the sprouts coming out.

Yes you can do that, try to observe your plants if they will grow well in that condition. It would be better if you will put them in an area where the morning sunshine can reach your plants.

Hello, thank you for the videos, very interesting. Nevertheless I have a question, you brought up an article from the internet regarding the fact that this plant won't make a new plant from a single leaf, even if it roots. I saw u planted a rooted leaf in a soil. What happened to it? Did it grow a new plant? I'm currently experimenting too with a single leaf in water propagation, it's been 1 month and still no sign of root, but is not dead either. So just keeping it to see what happens.

Hi, the rooted leaf that I planted into soil is still alive and waiting and hoping also to get new sprout. Regarding with your propagation it is normal that some leaf will root after a month, just wait a little bit longer time.

@@btnyt1355 Hi, yes, indeed the single leaf roots, like really roots but that ends there. I had to get a stem cut and only then it grew into a plant....hope it helps u! Good luck!

I change the water once a week and I find water propagation much better than the soil propagation. You can see from the result that both this method produces root easily however on water propagation there is new leaf sprout immediately.

Amazing! Just discovered your channel! I have a ficus tineke since july and the leaves kept falling ans today the remaining four healhy looking leaves fell... The plant was in front of a large window (east) but there were air flows... I hope I will be able to root the leaves but I change the location of the mother plant but I don't know if she will grow any leaves since she never did...

just make sure you don’t overwater your plants because this is the main reason of leaf loss of most rubber plants.

Keep it in a bright place inside your house near the window. It should be indirect to sunlight.

How often should I water them after the transfer in the soil?

For every plants, before you water them always check the soil by sticking your finger if it is dry or wet. Water when the soil is dry only.

normal potting soil lang po gamit ko. pero dko po nirerecommend mag propagate just by the leaf. kelangan po my kasamang stem para maging new plants uli cya. kapag po dahon lang hindi po cya maggrow, mag roots lang po cya.

Hi! I love watching your videos! And eagerly wait for the updates! I recently bought a rubber plant (3rd August, 2020). It has two branches. As the roots of it were coming out of the nursery pot, I potted it in a bigger earthen pot. Since then, one of the bottom leaf from each of the branch have withered, one new leaf has grown from one of the branches, and one new branch shoot is growing from the bottom of one of the branches. I have kept it in partial sunlight spot at home. I water it once a week, and even add a handful of compost once a month, but it is not at all growing. Instead the leaves are becoming droopy. Please suggest some tips to care for it better! Waiting for you reply!

hello, how is the soil of your plant? remember that watering plants indoor should not be done on regular basis. You must first check the soil if it is wet or dry before watering it.

@@thegreenearth I made the potting mix of garden soil and sand. The water drains well through it. Also when I water it, it is always dry.
