Don't cut your roof-rack down like you mentioned during the build, you will be able to attach an awning, and walk under it!!! The air hose box idea is brilliant!!!!!!!!!

while you're waiting to get your power system sorted.. if i may suggest making a deep cycle battery box as a temp alternative until you get your funds raised.. then just keep it charged off your alt from the truck.. Just food for though and my .02 for ya.. GREAT JOB on the camper been following for quite some time going back to the black van build

That might be a good alternative for now. I thought about doing a dual battery on the truck and wiring the trailer to the truck through the trailer wiring harness, but I thought if I ever unhooked the truck for some reason, I would not have power. Although, I could put the second battery in the camper to charge while I am driving. Great idea! Thanks!

@@RubberTrampRenegade Some people are making some very cool battery boxes from 50 cal ammo cans and gel cell batteries.. might be a bit small, but easily charged with a solar panel and compact if your power demands are not that high

I think I have a video on my trailer itself, but it was built from scratch by a friend. It is 46.5 inches wide. I think it was around 65 long not including the tongue.

Does the camper have a frame, or did you just screw the edges of the plywood together?

The camper does have a metal frame that it is bolted to. The plywood is glued and screwed together, then it sits on the frame while straddling the frame rails. It can be seen in this video and some of my other build videos. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH-wZIyNjN-ioZo

You helped me build my own small 4x9 trailer. Have you experienced any sway while towing your trailer?

I have not had any trouble with swaying or fish tailing. If you are experiencing sway your axel on you trailer is too far forward or you are too heavy to the rear of the axels. You need to redistribute the weight somehow.

@@RubberTrampRenegade perfect thank you. I’m still using ball hitch temporarily and just experiencing my trailer bouncing a good amount on dips and bumps on the road. I’m going to switch to articulating lock n roll and didn’t know how or if a sway bar is needed with that set up. Btw, I installed a single solar panel hooked up to a Duracell electric generator sold at Costco. Tested it out on my first trip needing two electric coolers, phone charge and fantastic fan. Turns out I need more juice. I haven’t calculated whether I need more panels or a battery Daisy chained to the Duracell (maybe both). Just thought you’d like to know considering you were going to get the Jackery. Thanks for all the info again.
