Ah ha, I remember! The plug from the bottom of the sea reminds me that my uncle Alex who was setting a charge in a gold mine in north Ontario set a charge a little too big and ended up draining a small lake! A man was in his row boat fishing when the water started to swirl at the centre of the lake as it started to drain. Luckily he made it to shore! Unbelievable but true.

Collette had to run in B&M for some new socks for me. We now keep the rest in the car for emergencies 😂 Thanks for the mention. anyway.. moving onto your video. The commemorative pieces you have. We found a piece of pottery last week of George V and Mary 1893, It’s on our Instagram page, just been on there and found you and hit the follow. You can see the piece I found in my pictures. That’s a nice little letter rack and pen holder. Great idea. I like the way Caroline is more worried about Manki than you when you was walking up hill, no wonder you threw a shovel at her 😂😂 That shovel actually looks like a coal shovel for a train. I can only find the first part of the reg plate RT which was between MAY 1925 -> OCT 1933 if that’s any help. A plug for the bottom of the sea 😂 beautiful castle, I do like my castles 🏰 enjoyed the story too, but looks like Manki enjoyed it more 😂 that is one melted paste pot 😮looks like a beautiful spot you have found there, not just for the finds but also the surrounding area, especially now the leaves are coming out. Shovels like that are very handy when you are making up a coal fire, or when you are shovelling the ashes into a metal bucket later. Also I used to make it a rule to keep one of those next to the fireplace in case a burning piece of something fell out. So I could scoop the flaming item back into the grate before it set the rug alight.

😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 intrepid explorer cam, priceless. Thank you for risking life and limb Phil and Manky. Sigh walking through woods like that is the main thing I miss living in Australia from when I was living in England, that and the fact no poisonous snakes and spiders eeeew. Loved the craft in the shed, turned out awesome. The shovel and plug thingy should go together with a crucible and some coal or something like that.🤷♀️🤷♀️ great finds guys, just how many designs of paste pots are there? Loved the castle and history. 😂😂 you glue those bottles Phil there amazing. Thank you so very much for sharing this awesome video, which I got to watch on the tv yesss👍👏❤️❤️

I risk life and limb Chris, and then I'm at the mercy of the editor and her sense of humour 😄😂 We are fortunate to not have to worry about poisonous creatures 🐍😱🕷😱🐍 There are LOTS of paste pot designs, yet they are all easily identified 🤔 So glad you liked the craft. You and Phil are so personable and pleasant to listen to, Caroline. 🥰 I love all of the mudlarking channels I follow, because you each have your own talents and gifts and interests and you each are unique. It disappoints me when I see a channel trying to emulate or imitate another channel because there is no need to do so! God has given everyone talents and gifts unique to them, with fingerprints to prove it! 😇

I'm not sure what the white & yellow flowers are called Debra, but along with the carpet of bluebells and the array of lush greens it was a magical place to spend a few hours, and then we found such brilliant finds as well, what a bonus! So glad you enjoyed the visit to the castle too. 🙂😎🐼

This very heavy lid also can be from a kitchen device: for fermentation or so... Due to the gasses this kind of bottles/cans can build, the lid must be heavy to keep the process going

that was a very simple craft, cool, to repurpose things, why did you not guild it? or use some milliput to smooth it all in ? Just an idea for you, that stuff sticks everything with out a glue gun, which I find after time comes off.

Apparently thrift stores & charity shops are not the same. I mentioned charity shops in a comment & americans asked what a charity shop is. Apparently thrift stores do not usually make money for charities.
@LetsgowithTheJohnsons2 жыл бұрын
It does get a bit confusing Sarah, but from what I understand, all charity shops in the UK are owned by charities as the name suggests, but not all thrift stores and run to raise funds for charity, although some are. I've also heard the term 'Goodwill' store 🤔 But the one thing they all have in common is that they source the vast majority of their stock from items others are throwing away and then resell them to those looking for a bargain. 🙂😎🐼
@annettefournier96552 жыл бұрын
Our local thrift store supports it's own community charities. That way they control directly programs for the town. It does get confusing.
@cyberleaderandy12 жыл бұрын
Love your comments about mining explorations, but having seen the American ones on Adventure archeology those uk ones are nothing. The yanks think nothing of 15 feet plus holes to get down to the 1900s 😳 Have to say though, as a Brit I do love 1900s hutches and early straight side cokes.
