Ah ha, I remember! The plug from the bottom of the sea reminds me that my uncle Alex who was setting a charge in a gold mine in north Ontario set a charge a little too big and ended up draining a small lake! A man was in his row boat fishing when the water started to swirl at the centre of the lake as it started to drain. Luckily he made it to shore! Unbelievable but true.

I love that old 1950/60s number plate and the other curios! Need to find the vehicle info now! I have had a quick search and it's obviously a pre 1963 plate and the RTO designates that it was registered in Nottingham!

I wrote to the Queen when I was 6 back in 1972 when they showed the Coronation on TV for her 20th year as Queen. One of her Ladies in Waiting sent me an answer on Buckingham Palace paper and envelope, even had an article in our local newspaper about it. I still have the letter LOL!

I love Caerphilly castle, I can’t wait until the big cheese finally comes back there. I can remember as a kid going to Caerphilly to watch the fireworks coming from the castle and being amazed by it. Also I’m a massive doctor who fan and some doctor who was filmed there.

We have great memories of the fireworks, an amazing display, and when it's over and the smoke billows around the turrets and creeps along the moat, it feels like we've slipped back in time to the battles that have raged there. We remember the Tardis on top of the castle too 🙂😎🐼

Beautiful day, fun adventure and nice finds. What more can you ask for. I love the blue bells. They were one of my Great grandma's 2 favorite flowers and she had a large patch of them. 😂 welcome to the one welly club 😂 I sat in the exact same position with one wellybob off, But I looked a lot more sorrowful 😂But I did have a very wet sock and freezing cold foot. Collette had to run in B&M for some new socks for me. We now keep the rest in the car for emergencies 😂 Thanks for the mention. anyway.. moving onto your video. The commemorative pieces you have. We found a piece of pottery last week of George V and Mary 1893, It’s on our Instagram page, just been on there and found you and hit the follow. You can see the piece I found in my pictures. That’s a nice little letter rack and pen holder. Great idea. I like the way Caroline is more worried about Manki than you when you was walking up hill, no wonder you threw a shovel at her 😂😂 That shovel actually looks like a coal shovel for a train. I can only find the first part of the reg plate RT which was between MAY 1925 -> OCT 1933 if that’s any help. A plug for the bottom of the sea 😂 beautiful castle, I do like my castles 🏰 enjoyed the story too, but looks like Manki enjoyed it more 😂 that is one melted paste pot 😮looks like a beautiful spot you have found there, not just for the finds but also the surrounding area, especially now the leaves are coming out. Fantastic video, we much enjoyed this. Time for another brew 😊☕️☕️

Spare socks are a must! I cut and copied your KZbin banner to put up at 3:36 so hope it gets you some interest. Gosh, Instagram... I hope I remember how to use that 😂 I'm rubbish at keeping up with all this stuff! Interesting idea about the shovel, it is quite a size so you could be right 🤔 Glad you liked the castle and the melted paste pot! Happy hunting and as always thanks for watching 🙂😎🐼

Shovels like that are very handy when you are making up a coal fire, or when you are shovelling the ashes into a metal bucket later. Also I used to make it a rule to keep one of those next to the fireplace in case a burning piece of something fell out. So I could scoop the flaming item back into the grate before it set the rug alight.

Some great finds again today. Your videos are so enjoyable with your finds, Phil's crafting and the history you always bring us. Love the melted bottles. I do have to agree with Caroline, it's a plug from the bottom of the sea! I did enjoy hearing more of Caerphilly Castle, though I don't approve of what the Normans did or how they did it, I am related to the de Clare family. Nice to see Manky out with you again! Great to hear how much you enjoy the videos Cheryl, and that you agree on The Sea Plug Theory 😄 Interesting that you're related to the De Clare Family... Ha! The leaning tower of Wales and the Intrepid Explorer body cam. That lovely spring dump site may soon be lost to seasonal jungle growth. Am I the only one who pictures Phil blindfolding us as he takes us to his secret locations, only then allowing it's removal upon arrival? I am going to place a locator beacon inside Manky Panda so we can all return at a later date. I need to get there before Phil takes all the melty bottles.😁😉 Do tell whoever it was thank you for letting us join you. I too think the shovel was for coal, the 'gas fire?' thing, I haven't a clue. I hope that big white boxy looking thing in the castle is only there for refurbishing the castle, I would hate to think it was permanently ruining the ruins. As always, cheers!🤗🥰

What a beautiful day to be in the woods. Everything is bursting with color and growth. Here in Wisconsin it is mostly brown still with only a tinge of green on the trees. I hope I get to visit Wales some day. There is a fun detective mystery set of books I love to read that is set in a mountain village there in Wales.

Midges can be a nuisance in the warm weather Patty, and there is a problem with ticks in some parts, including the Bournemouth area where we lived about 30 years ago. It does get a bit confusing Sarah, but from what I understand, all charity shops in the UK are owned by charities as the name suggests, but not all thrift stores and run to raise funds for charity, although some are. I've also heard the term 'Goodwill' store 🤔 But the one thing they all have in common is that they source the vast majority of their stock from items others are throwing away and then resell them to those looking for a bargain. 🙂😎🐼
