I think ultimately Amad will be good for Bruno. Bruno has carried the creativity of the club on his back for a long time, and it probably led to his form problems at the start of the season. That’s on top of the hectic match schedule in 2024, considering how for some players, last season never actually ended. Adding Amad’s output may hurt Bruno’s numbers in the short term, you don’t need to rely on his assists in every game, but it will be more sustainable long term where you can afford for him to have a quieter game without losing all creativity in the team. Garnacho’s problems are all mental. He struts about like he’s prime Ronaldo, having run half as much, and it shows. Put him back in black boots until he’s a starter for Argentina and winning games for us on a regular basis. Ronaldo got to where he got by out-working everyone. He did the hard yards. He justified lacking defensively by scoring multiple goals a game, guaranteed. No manager would have accepted that were he not inevitable. There are few players out there that get that kind of pass and that pass is earned.
@Brendan_M_
@Brendan_M_ Ай бұрын
Bruno's form problems aren't typical form problems, almost every player has peaks and troughs, Bruno's are so noticeable because the team is awful when he's off but he still forces things because it's either that or nothing. ETH also really emphasised chaos and transition. Bruno still works hard and being able to keep things simple and let Amad take over when he's in a little bit of a trough will be great for him. Even prime Messi and Ronaldo weren't scoring every game, a lot of games without any goals and a lot with 2 or 3 goals to even it out, but nobody has ever done it all alone like we've been expecting Bruno to do

I have an issue with the under 21s not playing the same system as the first team if we need a production line at first team we need the sixes playing a sixes we need the tens playing the same style. We need wingback being wing box. I just think Alejandro gone at could be sent out on loan for a season with the instructions to focus on decision-making pick a team that plays a similar system. See if you can work as a wing back or a 10. Alejandro came in as a player that love to run at people beat people with selfish and scored goals was devastating. Erik ten Hag looks like he’s coached him into being a bit more subtle in the final third and passing and shooting has gone off a cliff maybe he needs better instruction of what to do.

My only disagreement is that we have many players who can be played into moves away: Dalot, Casemiro, Eriksen, Rashford and Garnacho. Dalot can prove his attacking ability on the right, Casemiro can play in the 10 as a final third presser and creator/box crasher better than McTominay, Eriksen can play as a Bruno with Bruno/Ugarte/Mount/Amad around him - they do the work and he creates - but that's too situational; Rashford can play behind Zirkzee if Zirkzee is deep and playing to a running Rashford with Rashford leaving for 40m+; Garnacho should be coming off the bench against tired defences to help push teams back - we can get 70m if we get him with 20G/A this season. Garnacho is a Januzaj with more confidence, but we can get more for him

Miles ahead in game management and decision making. If hiojlund gets more service we are laughing ! Garnacho, we heard what his temperament was like early on, needs a wing, talking to. Dalot is 25 YO fullback heading into his prime years and played virtually every minute over the last year where he won the POTY and arguebly the best rb in the league. He's thrown into a completly alien LWB role in a new system and taking his time to adapt. Remember the last time he proved doubters wrong. Let alone the fact that he's a vital leader in the dressing room. We would get around 25m selling him now while we still have Shaw in our books who also needs to be replaced and scratching for any fit full back who can play 90mins. We would be mugs if we took the time to develop a teenager only for Fulham to reap the rewards of his prime years.

@@Rustylad12 sure last year he was great, but this year it’s a different story. It’s not even about playing in lwb. He doesn’t offer anything in attack in both lwb or rwb. Amad Antony maz all are clear in rwb. My biggest problem is his defence, he has been awful since the start of the season even under ten hag. And every game he always has mistakes in him. Compare him to Maz, Maz can play in every single position and look good. We need more players like Maz technically good and has high football IQ. Dalot’s football IQ has always been questionable. Best thing about him is he is always available and doesn’t kick up a fuss. So if he can stay as squad player it’s ok, but if we can sell him to get players that Amorim needs that’s better. Nothing against him, I thought he matured a lot after his stint at Milan, but if we want to be better we need players with more quality than him.

Come on, with all the negativity around him, Garna is miles, miles above Januzai or Dan James. The kid can score, including worldies. The other two couldn’t. Ridiculous comparison. The likes of Zirkzee, Mount must go. They don’t bring value to the table and are just placeholders. Give you an impression we have a broad squad, but just don’t deliver. Injuries come and we’re toasted. We kept such players for years and I think this is a huge mistake. I really hope this changes with Amorim.

Granted he can score goals but beyond that he’s shite in all other departments. Januzaj could score and create when he was a prospect - and he could actually control the ball, dribble and beat defenders easily. Something Garna for a winger is absolutely atrocious at.

Players like zirkzee and rashford on the other side of the coin highlights what amorim said when he first came in, The system isn't important but the attitude is important., zirkzee ability might not be world class but his attitude could lead him to being given time in the team, while rashford on the other side has ability (as evidenced by the 30 goal season) has a attitude that will find himself at a job centre and a p45

The irony of this is, Rashford played with a broken back till he had to be carried off for the team, came back weeks early from multiple injuries when no one could replicate his effectiveness, even as recent as his thirty goal season, all of a sudden he doesn't have the right attitude. There's nothing wrong with criticizing his game but it has now turn to a full on assault on him, when Sancho was having issues, he was given about 3 months off to sort himself but Rashford can't be afforded the same grace. If in a year or two, he comes out with a doctor's report and said he was depressed, you guys will be the same with the faux support but in real time you can't give him grace. What happens when another player goes through their own personal huddles, abuse and hound them out, well there's a reason why united fanbase is recognized as the most toxic

Garnacho certainly needs an attitude change - he needs to realise that's he not as good as he thinks he is. He's young enough that he can adapt to Amorim's system, but he has to be prepared to work with the manager, and at this stage that doesn't look like it's happening, Perhaps it will take him being moved on to provide a reality check for him, and give him the kick up the backside he clearly needs. Which would be a pity, because I think he could be a good player for Utd.

Ste, I don’t understand your negitivity regarding Garnacho. He’s been one of the better young players in Europe this season based on his stats and that’s within a struggling poor United team. He’s levels better than Dan James and Janusaj. Garnacho reminds me of the raw CR7 in his first couple of years. Quite selfish, lots of shots, relentless self belief and resilience. But you know that they both have epic potential. Garnacho will be a world beater whether he plays for United or another club.

I dont think you can compare him to CR7 early days. Cristiano was really technical and can beat defenders either with his pace or flair and his only hindrance to the team at the time was he was often making selfish decisions. Garnacho on the other hand is only relying on his pace and thought he could best everyone with it, he was really exciting prospects 2 years ago but his progress was really stagnated since. When he got the ball, i dont really have any expectation from him besides occasionaly making a sensational goal or making silly mistakes or even slowing the game down. He's only a better version of Dan James for me right now.
@noblesavvy7803

"Raw Cr7" which means he is nowhere near even compared to the young Ronaldo. Young ronaldo had so much flair and pretty technical. Garnacho is a young Rashford, headless runner. He is 20 and have a lots of time to change that and improve but he ain't all that tbh. He is also a social media prick along with his brother so basically he is attracting the same toxicity journalist prey for on Utd players

14:23 😅 14:32 14:34 😅 14:36 14:36 14:36 14:36 14:36 14:37 14:48 14:48
