25:36 "Even the awakening is a very sophisticated illusion" ;-) 32:48 "What we call Dharma, spiritual path, Buddhism, is a placebo", such a beautiful saying... Beautiful meeting and talk. Thank you very much

Good interaction! Thanks for sharing . Buddha has said in Dhammapada “ Vishwaasah Paramaa jnaatih” meaning ‘belief is ultimate friend or relatives’ . So sugar placebo is a good example for Buddha’s message.

Great to watch this interesting discussion. It would be interesting to know what average Buddhist think , what mind is and also how average devotees of different faith’s brain images looks when they pray?

"Dream" and "real" world.. In psychosis, as an experiencer, these two off and on meld into one.. And in my case a third dimension I'd call a "spirit world" was added.. It differs from the first two in that it is luminous, everything gives off and is made of light. It's much more vivid than the "dream" or "real"- worlds.. I would agree that none of them are "real" nor "unreal".. I also experienced dilation of time, as one of the experiences had events happening that would have taken at least 20/ 30 minutes in the "real world".. But my brother was right alongside me that whole time in the "real world" and said it took only 5 minutes when what I experienced took at least 20 minutes. When these things happen your whole sense of reality shifts. I feel like the fabric of existence both fell apart and revealed itself to me simultaneously with that psychosis. But there's nothing to hold on too, which now is one of reasons I find it very hard to process for myself, let alone talk to other people about it. Like being suspended in a void in many respects. It is impossible to grasp by means of logic and since "linear logic" is the reasoning of the west, I feel very alone and misunderstood.. I want to add that that psychosis was not the first multi- dimensional/ real- unreal experience in my life but it was the most intense and long-lasting one by far. I sought help for dealing with this recently, mostly because it was really hard for the people close to me that I was "out of it" for months.. Especially for my daughter who was 16 at the time, and I never want her to go through that again.. But after having had a few conversations at that institution I truly feel like they have no clue to what it is. One of the first things the psychiatrist I talked to said was "As long as you know, what ever you went through during psychosis, is not real".. This limited/ fixated approach is really problematic for me. For these experiences I sometimes feel I would be better off growing up in a culture that does not disregard things like what I'd like to call 'the spirit- world'.. Listening to the conversation in this video is making me pretty emotional.. Because in a way, I feel understood. I know little to nothing about Quantum science but I really feel that in the future, a broader understanding of that subject will really help those of us that go through these type of experiences in the West. And also, keep the conversation going with the cultures that have a deeper understanding about the things we can't explain with our western logic.. Thank you for posting this!

I recently read Poison is medicine and have been watching your other teachings. IF you would like to understand the Americas spirit I would recommend that you look at Yamantaka. And look into what occurred in the past few hundred years to the Bison and the spirit of a Nation. Similar to Hayagriva and the vast grasslands of the Himalayas. As you are aware, the deities carry animal heads for a very deep seeded significate reason.

Wonderful dialogue though l had to stop it before the end because Rinpoche was giving spoilers for the film and I had not seen it yet 😂

Devotion and belief are not the same. Devotion, Mugu, is respect and longing for the wisdom and compassion of the Buddha and Guru. It is not blind faith; it is faith based upon logic, reasoning and actual results

The Native indigenous of the Great Plains have a origin story that claim's their people came from the Bison of Wind cave. This is very telling if you know Yamantaka.

Devotion is done for the people who respect the karmic cause and effect and to the one who respects their conduct... btw you don’t look like you have any discipline coz the way you are behaving while the westerner is talking is not very attractive
