Sometimes I hate living vicariously through your videos. In this case, owning my own $900k R66 is more of a hassle than it's worth. It's like being the only person in your group of friends who owns a pickup. Someone is always asking me to move a couch. "Hey, bro! Can I take the chop chop out for a run this weekend?" Struggles.... Love your channel, my wife and I after a day out mountain biking binge watched almost every video. A quick question.. what shoes do y’all wear? I see a mix of la sportiva, potentially Salomon.

Thanks for watching! For days that involve running, hiking, and ridge scrambles I usually go with a pair of La Sportivas (Bushidos, mutants, akasha). When I'm only running on trail I wear a pair of Hoka Speedgoat 2's. When I don't know what I'll be encountering that day I wear my Salomon Sense Rides. I think the Salomons offer the perfect mix of cushion and grip. The downside to the Salomons is that they don't last very long. I like to try new shoes as often as my wallet allows so this list changes occasionally but this is my line up for now. Hope that helps.

Mediocre Amateur super helpful, i am transitioning from hiking, scrambling and climbing into trail running, bushwhacking and ridge running as well. That’s sort of how I stumbled on the channel. You can take lessons to become certified to fly a helicopter, but it’s not cheap or easy. You can game money back shuttling vips, giving tours, and fighting wild land fires. My buddy Sea Legs works out in Colorado mostly doing fire fighting. He has some crazy stories about his work. IED bomb in Lydia, crashing in a forest fire, etc.

Great vid. Could you advise your average pace for these runs?

Very slow most of the time. On Strava it says our average pace was 14:25 per mile. Our running is usually inconsistent with lots of starts and stops for filming, check ins etc. Plus, the minute you introduce a ridge to your day, you slow things down considerably.
