I can’t believe you’re laying down all that shit about the sisters. I mean, it was only ice balls. The size of softballs cowboy up.

Very cool. I skied in Hakuba in March. They call it the Japan Alps. You should give it a shot in the future.

Hi, thank you for such a great video! From the outside it looks like you got to the top so quickly! How long did it actually take you to hike to the Matternhorn (without climbing)?

I just want to say that I have literally no interest in skiing. You’re the *only* skiers I will ever watch because your content is just so great! But I’m patiently waiting for another epic summit video!

Can you advise what shoes were you wearing? Looked bit like running shoes, but how would you have fastened the crampons on them. Also pretty cool backpacks, what brand are they ?

You are very ignorant to not take Mt. Baldy serious, & to go up after a spring storm, alone. You are lucky, to make it out safely. I grew up in so cal skiing Mt. Baldy, it is the 2nd most dangerous mountain in CA as far as number of deaths from falls, hiking, skiing, avalanches, etc. I have skied all over the west & primarily live & ski in UT & CO now, but will always respect the danger of Mt. Baldy!

This reminded me of my summit day when my partner decided to turn around and leave me at the start of the belly. Lucky for me we met a group of dads and their sons from Utah with whom we chatted and joined them to the summit. To them wherever they are, that summit me at the world to me, after waiting for it for long time. One day I’ll return to try it again.

No crampons for the last 500 vertical feet on that snow/ice slope? Stupid. Ice ax not enough. People die on that slope in those conditions because they opt to climb the icy slope without adequate gear. I hate to see videos like this as it suggests that this makes sense.

Welcome to one of many So.Cal treasures. In the 90's, before everyone had the internet, "poaching" Baldy was a real treat. Some of the deepest powder and steepest skiing in So.Cal is Baldy backcountry. Several people have died trying it tho, glad you were smart about it. We used to get "trifecta" days, up at 0500, drive up to Snow Summit for a half-day session of snowboarding, back down the mtn. by 3PM for a session at Weege's half-pipe or Diver's Corner pool, then hit Seal Beach pier for a night session surfing. Those were the days that i'll remember most about my late teens. The best of times!

With how snowy it was up there this year, I someone would ski it this season, you're a hero for doing it AND making an incredible video about it! Some incredible shots and the shot of you disappearing into the snowy wind blows my mind. Incredible camera work!
