Worked as CPS Investigator for 25 years. I have seen cases of neglect- predominantly related to parenting capacity/intellectual deficits/failure to thrive--- seen parents feel horrified and regretful in situations--- this particular case is extremely horrifying- the deliberate, systematic, scheduled abuse seems to have sickeningly brought some sort of perverse satisfaction. Ben Chew - you’re spot on. While Jodi did play a big part in the extreme hurting of children, Ruby had already documented on her KZbin channel things that were harmful to her children. Jodi came along and threw gasoline on an already huge fire. So, I agree, Ruby was telling people what she thought they needed to hear. She also worked into her plea deal that prosecutors wouldn’t interfere with her hearings and try to keep her in longer. I truly think she needs to sit there for a solid 30 years. It won’t happen though. I pray the community will write the letters to the parole board demanding she remains incarcerated since the prosecutors won’t be. If I’m still alive and breathing, I’ll write them!! I hope her children and Jodi’s niece Jessi writes them as well.
