My friend Christian and I finally found some time to get out on another adventure. This time we traveled to the Ruby Mountains just outside of Elko Nevada. This was my third time in the area and his first. Though there was more people than we expected we found a primitive campsite and had a great time.

I never get tired of seeing video or stills of the Ruby Mountains. I lived in Elko way back in the early 60s. I went back in 2017 and drove up the canyon a couple of times. Thanks for sharing your trip.😃

You're welcome Danny. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The Rubies are fantastic and a nice little break from my local mountains here in Utah. I've got some good friends in Elko and try and go at least once a year.

Thanks Steve. You'll have to check the Ruby's out one of these weekends. Almost the same drive as some of the Southern and Northern Uinta trips.

Beautiful couple of days.... I have really had a bad season this year... and I wanted to do better this year... Life and health issues just keep popping up.... That ridge line was fantastic... Fantastic drone shots.

The ridge was probably my favorite part of this trip. I could have sat there for hours. Bummer the year hasn't played out like you wanted, but your making the most out if it. I I'm hoping a lot of things are different this next year.

Thought at the beginning you were going to have the piano guys with you on this trip. Rugged beauty. Some good little fish action. Do you have to worry about rattlesnakes there?

Haha! There are defiantly rattle snakes lower in the canyon. This was my third time here and I have not seen one, however heard other say they have.

It there was a willow tree nearby you could've improvised a way for it to hold the line and leader and fish "old old school". Beats giving up and heading back

Agreed. I could have found something to get by or just relaxed and enjoyed the scenery.
