除左蝦面之外，向golden mile 方向行多幾分鐘，仲有間blanco fish soup 都好好食架，暫時係我食過最好食而又稍為少味精既炸魚湯面，晏晝好多local 人排隊食。跟住再行多一條街度有間煲仔飯都好好食架，叫Geylang Claypot Rice。 再可以去埋golden mile complex 食地道泰國菜，我覺得好味又抵食！

Bugis Street is very famous especially in the 70s and 80s. It was near the sea and harbours before reclamation happened. There used to have many great food in push carts. It is an extremely popular area with sailors. The sailors loved this area because of its colorful environment and entertainment. One of the entertainments was 人妖. That’s why Bugis Street was also known as 人妖街. I lived a few streets away from Bugis street when I was a kid. Parkview Square is built directly on top of the old shophouses where I used to live 😂

The green rubbish bins at Haji Lane are meant for the shop to throw their rubbish, not really for the passer-by. These green bins are similar to those outside the terrace houses, each house has its own green bin.

The Sultan Mosque from afar seems to look like the Kowloon Mosque in Tsim Sha Tsui. Across Bugis St, further down at Waterloo Street is the famous Kwan Im Temple, something like Wong Tai Sin in Hong Kong.

Back in the 1960s to 1970’s Bugis Street was famous for its night life where it’s transformed into transvestites performance area. As there were plenty of crimes / vices then it was closed off by the Sg Govt.

The bar inside the hotel you walked past is called ATLAS, it has a really stunning interior, and reasonably priced, delicious cocktails :)

Legendary Hong Kong restaurant at Jurong Point (3rd Floor) - Boon Lay station is worth a trip there. The menu is very extensive as compared with typical cha chann tengs in HK. The owners are from HK. The signs all over which seem like being in Mong Kok. But there is an outdated HK MTR map there. Near the toilet on the wall u may come across 老夫子 cartoons.

@@peggyhoh7962 Yeah. The place is like being in Hong Kong. I was there (Jurong Point) in Dec 2021. The menu is very extensive & need many trips to try the food. I also saw Malaysia Boleh stalls there too at another side.

By the way, have you tried 星仔(香港)臭豆腐 near Paya Lebar MRT? I heard the owner made it not as stinky as HK version, in order to suit the SG taste. There is also the Geylang Serai Raya Bazaar nearby which you can visit too

Batman Tower is actually an office building not hotel. There's a bar inside that's quite famous, called Atlas Bar. Their hi-tea is quite nice! Can dress up and enjoy drinks there

Near the Blanco Court Prawn Mee, further down at Beach Road is the twin towers - The Gateway. Its sharp angular buildings were designed by the late renowned architect, I.M. Pei. Incidentally, he also designed the Bank of China Tower in Central Hong Kong. He was also the architect for the glass Lourve Pyramid (Lourve Museum) in Paris.
