@hufflepuff harry potter lover actually it's not sad at all, there are so many other beautiful things in life worth living for ...a relationship isn't always the centre of the universe for everyone...and as you get older you realise relationships are just unnecessary drama, headache etc and some some people are just way happier single and free
@peachyevren57893 жыл бұрын
@hufflepuff harry potter lover I don't believe you had ill intentions at all however not everybody needs a romantic relationship in their life. Just because you experience romantic attraction doesn't mean others experience it the same way or at all. If you don't feel the need to be in a relationship then that's no loss nor is it sad, a romantic relationship doesn't define you. There really is much more to life than romance. If it's important to you that is perfectly fine however i'm a firm believer in the theory that a relationship can only then be healthy when you don't need it to feel complete but know that you are already complete on your own. :)

This is actually a great excercise, everybody should do this, make a list of things you assume people think about you, and by doing this you could get to know you better, and understand why you are the way you are, and get an outside perspective of yourself, and use this to find ways to improve your self, because society can be a great mirror to find out how much of your inner self is reflecting to the outside world...or maybe im just being too philosophical, either way, this is a great video :)

I think it is so important to exude kindness to other human beings and to not simply, as Ruby and her mother say: “assume.” Because by having, as well as spreading assumptions, people can be hurt in more profound ways than many others can imagine. So I’m so thankful for people like Ruby who spread so much awareness to being kind, even if it is something that should be done without question, many people still fail at it. I think it is important to keep in mind that you never know what a person is going through, and even if they are totally fine or even if they are not, it is always important to be kind. Because I truly feel that even if we have nothing left, there will always be kindness and kindness can truly save people. Thank you, as ever Ruby for your insightful videos. Keep on inspiring. ♥️🕰🕯🍂
@thecrazybookworm30864 жыл бұрын
Thanks for being honest and vulnerable Ruby! Bullying can be so damaging! Being bullied as a kid helped me learn to control my own speech and actions to try to always be kind. I dislike how as a young adult in the workforce this kindness is seen more as a weakness. Something to be taken advantage of, not something that encourages others to be kind. While bullying can definitely teach you some good things it can also take a very long time to unlearn the bad habits it formed within.
@andersec3 жыл бұрын
"You're sensitive about what other people say about you." This is very hard due to the fact that we are human beings, we are and always have been a tribal people, we want the tribe to accept us or we feel useless or unworthy. The way I approach this is "I am sensitive to what some people say about me" i.e. people who I look up to, some relatives and friends or people that I respect and who want what is best for me. Everyone else's opinions just don't matter because they don't have your best interests in mind.

The older I get, the more I appreciate friendships to romantic relationships..
@lobstered_blue-lobster2 жыл бұрын
Understandable but I think it's an irrational fear to see that friendships and romanctic relationships have really much of a difference. I mean there are differences ofcourse but I am assuming you have never been in a relationship or atleast a serious one so I can see why you would have this kind weird fear. (Tho I will admit this is based on an assumption)
@imeaiwteh75402 жыл бұрын
@@lobstered_blue-lobster literally what fear? When did they ever mention they were so frightened by the thought of being in a romantic relationship? Their comment stated that as they grew, they’ve become more aware of how much more precious platonic relationships are in comparison to romantic relationships- that they might’ve been excessively seeking in the past
@lobstered_blue-lobster2 жыл бұрын
@@imeaiwteh7540 first of all, the person's comment stated nothing what you said in the latter part of their comment. They simply said as they grew they appreciated platonic friendships more than romantic relationships, nothing else you simply added the other parts in. And the reason I said "fear" is more hyperbolic than being accurate because there are more things in common than there are differences between them. The aspect of let's say forming a close personal bond or hanging out and having fun or (even a negative one) being toxic and discouraging them in anything (like "you can never be like 'x', or "you'll never achieve your dream" and other more toxic ones that I am forgetting) are not mutally exclusive to either of them, it happens in both. So what I was trying to imply is that it is cognitive dissonance to gravitate towards a certain one while resist the other when really they are almost the same. In a way this is a double standard. It's also like asking "who do you love more/who do you think is better, your mom or dad" this is a frankly a stupid question and a comparison, I hope you'll agree and I don't need to clarify why. My point is it's an either/or fallacy.

@@imeaiwteh7540 and also "...how much more precious platonic relationships are in comparison to romantic relationships.." in what sense might I ask?
@imeaiwteh75402 жыл бұрын
@@lobstered_blue-lobster literally shut the fuck. I won’t even try to be respectful anymore. You’re not making any sense and you’re not sticking to your original narrative, you using a couple words you read on the internet here and there doesn’t give your words credibility. Point out EXACTLY what I said that couldn’t have possibly been implicitly stated in their comment, then compare it to your totally baseless assumption and manipulative claim of them being fearful of romantic relationships, hence tricking themselves into thinking they appreciate platonic relationships more.

Hi Ruby. I pray for you to always in a good condition mentally, phisically and any kind of aspects. I've been following you since you were in highschool and i was in my 3rd semester in uni. You really help me with your productive video and I was sooo happy when you announced that you already in uni. Today you are very mature and the way you talk is really different from before. I remember your first semester, maybe you kind of confused or shock with how college is, idk.. but now you grow soooo well. I'm sorry for my bad explaination. I'm not native btw, but I should learn more like you. Love you from Indonesia.

I think the question about whether you like studying depends on what you are studying. Everyone likes different things so while some people might like to study/revise academically, others may like studying people, movies etc. Everyone is different and it's fine if you don't like studying the same things as everyone else.

I really appreciate your videos since the day I started following you on youtube, you seem to be more relaxed on camera, and that is amazing. You inspire me to be the version of me that I’ve always wanted to be. Xoxo
