I recently came across a beautiful antique book shop on a day trip to London and bought my first antique book- an 1890s edition of Little Women with a note in the front showing it was a Christmas present to someones niece in 1897! Its green and gold and so stunning!

@Khan Khan so what if she copied Hermione Granger, there are a lot of accounts who uses the word "Granger" or "Hermione." Maybe she used Granger since maybe her inspiration is Hermione Granger and that is why she named her username Granger Productivity. Just because the word "Granger" is in her username does not mean she is copying Ruby Granger. She can name her channel however she wants and she is her own person so please let her be and please just be kind.

A little princess is my most favourite book of all time. I read it when I was about 12 and it completely changed my whole life, taught me how to truly make the most of my imagination, and I genuinely do believe in the messages of the book. A quote that really gets me through is "The worst thing never quite happens" which I mean to take there is always magic x

I look at your mini-library and I become nostalgic. I had one like that while at university and miss it so much. Had to give it up when I finished my degree and moved countries. But I have to admit that I’m working on getting another one currently. This time around the bookcase is in my living room, it’s filled to the brim and I’m thrilled. I do keep some wooden crates in my room full of my favorite books too. Odd question but, does anyone else enjoy opening and smelling their books? I love doing that. 😅❤️

I was a dedicated bookworm in elementary school but pretty much stopped reading due to youtube, video games and the internet in general. But in the last couple of years I've been slowly getting back into it and your videos are such a big inspiration, they just make me want to read and also make me interested in genres and authors I wouldn't have considered otherwise. I loved this video so much! I haven't accumulated many books because I seemed to give most of my childhood books to charity (not sure why?!😐) but I'm building up a collection with my partner now, we have 2 shelves of books currently, an additional 2 shelves are purely for his work related non-fiction. A Little Princess is my absolute favourite too! I was only able to get a copy of my own as an adult when they finally made a new Finnish edition, but I don't love the cover of it. I've been searching for a very specific edition that my local library carried because it feels oddly important to have it. I've been browsing antiquarian bookshops and library book sales for years! It's funny, it is the story that matters of course, but I was 7 when I first read the book and it's such a big part of my childhood that I feel like I need to have it.

I have to make an update on this, because after I made this comment, I went online to see if I could find out which edition the book I wanted was and I found a used book shop online that carried it! It just got delivered to me! A Little Princess was also my mum's favourite book growing up and she's been sad she lost her copy as a teen, because she would have wanted to give it to me. Today I found out that the edition she had was the same one I just got, which makes it even more precious. ❤️

If you like Neil Gaimen I recommend The Graveyard Book. I recently read this book and it was soooo good. The art in the book is beautiful and the book itself is a piece of art! Highly recommend

Seeing Love Aubrey up there made me so excited! I found that book on the self of my English teacher in a pile of lost property when I forgot to bring a book to school. Fell in LOVE with it and is one of my favourite books still to this day! Loved this video, it was great to reminisce over so many great books :)

I love the history of old books too! In my book cupboard, I collect old books and so far, I’ve got a English-Greek lexicon from 1864 and it has inscriptions from previous owners, I also have an old copy of the Stories From the Arabian Nights with an inscription from 1920 and I have 2 very old and very large bibles that I found in the loft when cleaning and recently, my mom’s friend gave me his old copy from 1930 of the complete works of Shakespeare!

I’ve commented this a few times but I’m not sure if you’ve ever seen it. I watch a lot of ‘booktube’ videos and the first video I saw of yours was a recommendation from when you were talking about reading one book a week, when you were back in secondary school (I believe) and from there I got into studytube too!! So I love when you post booktube kind of books. It’s a strange kind of nostalgia as it’s not an old video, but always reminds me of the first video of yours that I watched.
