I couldn't agree more. I'm not an expert on the UK by any means but I do have the ultimate respect for the late Queen and the royal family as a whole theres so much history there and the roots are very deep. She cherished the monarchy and what it stands for and after all these years to see how little its changed and her dedication to tradition is something to be proud of and respected. Seeing things like this little kid being so disrespectful is a disturbing trend that doesn't show signs of slowing down sadly.

It's common sense to me to at the very least act how I would in my local area and try to understand any major cultural differences to keep in mind when traveling. If I still come off rude or ignorant I'll take it but going out of your way like what we are seeing more of the past year or so with people traveling with the intent of causing as many problems as possible destroys all the progress we have made over the decades making this era relatively peaceful (by global standards at least)

When I was in the US Navy, we made port calls in the UK back in 1993. I got to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham and saw the Guards at Edinburg Castle. I was fortunate as I never saw anybody mocking or messing with the guards. The Household Division guys were pretty damn professional imho.

I don't know that kids are any different than ever, possibly a little more full of it because of social media. My teen years my friend groups pushed buttons, got in trouble, played some pretty bad pranks. I think it a part of adolescent but now with social media, it's more incentivised.

As a retired law enforcement officer, I think your narration was spot-on. There's also a famous scripture that warns us of this. ["But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people."] -2 Timothy 3:1-5 Luke, I pray you and your family have a great and fruitful New Year.😊

They do it because they know there's no repercussions. Yeah he got handcuffed but we all know the courts won't do anything. They got their 'content', end of for them, they don't care. If you tried this when I was a kid you'd have had the crap kicked out of you and learned a lesson real quick 😂 I'll be like 80% sure the girl likely put him up to it, she was loving it.

Did you notice the irony of how he was standing under the sign that says "Don't touch the reins" and then he rubs the horse's face, including the reins...and then everybody tried their best to get out of frame like they know something bad will come of this and they don't want to be any part of it? "What are you in for?" "I harassed a horse and called someone a sausage." He's not going to have a good time in jail. :) I think the answer is "No" but do they train those horses for combat like they did back in the day, so they can handle gun fire and shouting and stuff?
@Morthatron5 сағат бұрын
Yeah, they’re trained as warhorses. Lots of videos of them biting people who get too close

People often forget that the Royal Guard are not there to be entertainment or amusement, they are real soldiers, doing a real job, that is really important. It upsets me to because in America the Guard is treated like they are a joke, you could walk up to them and do anything you like, they can't do anything. Its disrespectful to do this to actual people!
@-Luna-tic.exe-16 сағат бұрын
It's always the touristy types that do so. Even in america, anyone who knows anything about the military understand the kings guard is active duty military. Just like our own tomb guard in arlington, sure, it's all ceremony...but they are still very much a military unit, and can and will f*ck someone up who is out of line.

@mdskydive724512 сағат бұрын
Yeah, I am not saying Americans haven't even been rude to them. However, in the last few years I have seen about 100 of these rude videos and about 90% of the rude folks are from the UK. The rest are from other countries and only 1or 2 are American. I know Americans get a rap for being rude, but it is not because of doing it on purpose. It is just differences of culture.
@vampiro423614 сағат бұрын
I remember years ago, reading (on a now defunct blog) an article called "In defense of the fist fight" that basically laid out that the day we stopped getting smacked for being a rude prick, is the day anarchy begins and that as young men we all need that to happen to us at least once. I think right now, it's needed more then ever, because there is no way acting like that would've been tolerated when I was younger (when now, in many places it is.)
@thekamotodragon11 сағат бұрын
100% agree man, social media is causing a degradation of the culture. We see it here in the US all the time. Just in general, there seems to no longer be a community of shared values and instead we see a culture that promotes only the most degenerate of things. I feel for anyone trying to raise a kid nowadays. Good luck man!

Sadly you're right on so many points that you pointed to in the video. The smug smirks and little cracks of smiles they try to hide do point to them achieving their goals they set out to achieve. The world and society for the most part has become so toxic that these kids don't know how to differentiate online and real world scenarios and the consequences that come with real world actions. It's sad and it is beyond gut wrenching to watch how many young people are losing their lives for likes and dreams of going viral. It's scary to see that so many young people and kids almost get hit with massive culture shock when they interact in the real world they are so detached. I've been blessed with 7 absolutely amazing beautiful bright souls that call me mom the youngest and oldest are 20 years apart in age and just in those 20yrs society and kids have changed far more than you'd expect to see its terrifying
@JeremiahLewis-g4c13 сағат бұрын
I like what you said about social media. The sad part is, for something that was supposed to be used to connect people and create bonds, all it seems to be used for is to cause division and make problems. Edit: It doesn't help that the social media companies encourage this kind of behavior.

It’s the Tik Tok state of mind that makes these kids go out and act so rude and just downright stupid. These social media kids have got some serious brain worms over this crazy stuff. They will disrespect anyone or anything if they think they can get some attention from it. It is ridiculous and honestly kind of sad and pathetic. I enjoyed the Burning Of Washington video, sorry to hear that it hasn’t been doing very well for you. Hopefully it just didn’t get as much attention due to the holidays and people just being so busy.
