Someone needs to explain to them that they're actually not allowed to do that. This reminds me of a few years ago in my home town. There was a car auction across the road from my local football team’s stadium. It was a Saturday morning and they were having one of their classic car auctions. The football car park was taped off which I initially thought was by the club but was, in fact, by the auction house. I parked in said car park to go to the auction and was approached by a hi-viz wearing guy with a money bag. He was wanting to charge me a couple of quid to park, I recognised him from the auction house and I asked if they had permission from the football club, he looked blank so I phoned one of the directors I know who was not happy at the situation. I refused to pay and he became quite shirty but thought it best to walk away, I approached every car coming into the car park and advised them not to pay. The hi-viz guy went and got his boss who was a bit of a wannabe gangster. Said boss approached me and grabbed my jacket just as the director and the police arrived, the director had called them as the club had trouble previously with the boss of the auction who had threatened them. A few months later he lost his license to run an auction, oh dear, how sad, never mind 🤣
@rogueuniversities68662 жыл бұрын
Yes! Sorry you were assaulted but SO glad the cops and director saw it and the tosser lost his licence. Result! If he had actually got permission from the club instead of trying hard man tactics, he could have actually had a temporary contract to operate the car park and made a lot of money. His thuggery got his licence taken instead. Stupid

It is highly likely that the Estate, like almost all Industrial Estates in the UK, is privately owned. The owner naturally has to provide access to the individual businesses but these access roads within the estate will by default be privately owned. Estate owner is therefore perfectly entitled to charge motorists to park there and indeed would be within his / rights to ban filming on the Estate property. Try filming in a city shopping centre or railway station and see what happens. Just because the owner allows the public access, doesn't make it public property.
