Hi Dwight. As a kid I sailed on a Norwegian freighter out of Montreal to South Africa carrying machinery. Once in Cape Town the crew would hit the waterfront bars. Tough places. One night everyone stayed on board and I asked why. Seems a Japanese ship had arrived in port, and it was an accepted understanding that mixing in the bar might result in serious injury, even death.

Glenda has lived here all her life and I've been here over ten years. Managed to stay out of trouble so far.

Yes, that is rude on their part to be so loud but they also do it to provoke an altercation. So you were smart by moving on. On the other hand, I am glad you are spending time with Glenda which is causing you to smile ... it's all good, even if she does not return until next Thursday.

My point is that you are in cartel country, and you never know what is going to go down in a bar! Just be careful man! Fights start because of noisey people and stuff happens.
