The amount of times i have been up the simplon pass in a lorry and have seen the army playground below but have never seen any action is unbelievable . It is truly stunning up on the top !!!

I thought the annual vignette was only useable for vehicles up to 3500kg. I think it is a daily charge for vehicles over 3500kg (with a minimum of 10 days?) loved the park up in the snow.

I purchased my vignette for cash from a man on the boarder in Basel. looking back now was it for real. Via is the best uncomplicated toll road system in Europe and I bet Austria had waited before installing over head pylons before technology made it possible with apps. Regards nick

Most boarders are open with people, especially if they are near the motorway network. We crossed on a high alps route, so no need for Motorway vignettes

Another great video with some stunning views, just quick question regarding the Swiss motorway tax, is your vehicle under 3.500 kg with 5 people onboard, as it states online that vehicles over this weight pay an increased charge or is this information out of date 🤔🤔. Just wanted to know as we are heading that way in the summer and we are 4.500kg. Regards

I’m not sure about an app, however you can buy an e-vignette for Switzerland, but there are no daily, weekly or monthly vignettes, just annually from 1 December 2023 to 31 January 2025.

Yep the boys are all still in full time education, in real brick and mortar schools. We only travel in school holidays, but we try to pack enough in to keep us going for several weeks!
