The blood was necessary because it wasn't put there for US to see, it was put there for RUDY to see to confirm that Sylphie and him actually did the deed. He has that huge fear that he screws everything up after he does it with someone so the blood on the bed plays into it naturally. I'm surprised out of everything you've seen on the show, THAT was what weirded you guys out for a bit.

I totally understand your point about the blood, but i kind of like the transparency and reality of the situation rather than the censorship because its not something we typically see in anime. This season did such a good job of building the Fitz/Rudy relationship so that they spent a year together rather than a spontaneous proposal, over time Rudy felt real feeling's for a "man" lol. I loved this part of the season, it was less action heavy but it really grew the characters.

I feel like the blood was particularly important because it was another thing that played into his doubts. “I made her bleed?? It must of been painful and I must have been bad in bed. Even worse than last time. And last time she left…” It basically adds on to his performance anxiety. I feel like the blood was not about putting it in your face again that Sylphie was a virgin, but another signal for Rudy to doubt himself. “She must have left because I was so bad I made her bleed.”

The aphrosidiac was shown is first season when Rudy, Eris and Ghislaine spending time in Roa and Eris unknowingly bought it for Rudy for present

Anime cut it out but she got the phrase “Dig in” from ariel, in the light novel it was “Eat me up then”. The same way Eris got her “i want to have your kittens” from her mother. Women of Nobility and royalty are taught how to seduce men/their future partners from a young age which makes sense in this world

The main thing that caused this issue with Eris was the note she left him. I think the note said "we're not a good match right now" or something similar. She meant is as she doesn't feel good enough for him, but he took it as he wasn't good enough for her. And then what happened with Sara earlier this season kinda made him double down on that thought. So Sylphie staying and then even helping him through it made all the difference.

The reason why they showed the blood was because it was to confirm that they actually did it and Rudy thinking why sylphy left but she came back ❤

The second half of the first cour of this season (slice of life n romance stuff, aside from Nanahoshi) was worth it, all the build up for this episode. Cour 2 in April shall be even better. And season 3 will be even more insane when it drops in like 2025-2026

If i remember correctly the blood thing was after he slept with Eris too. So my guess is they wanted to show it again to trigger Rudies PTSD.

I kind of figured it would go the harem route (isekai never fails lol) especially with the opening using the different colored feathers as symbolism for Roxy, Eris, and Sylphie.
