Most entertaining thing, IMO, that was skipped that I feel they could have easily snuck 5 seconds of dialogue in. Was after slyphy envisions her future with Rudy, Ariel says “now envision someone else by his side instead of you” which slyphy starts to picture nanahoshi. And she screams out “no!”

One of the reasons I love this story is that the drama is never over the top like we're all used to seeing. In most anime stories every little thing is treated as a huge life altering incident even when it something dumb. In Mushoku Tensei the little things are reacted to appropriately and so are the big things. No exaggeration needed. You know how the feelings are for the characters and you feel it with them.

Yep. I mean, I find it most odd that people get turned off by this story by what Rudeus is thinking. Unfortunately for Rudeus, being the protagonist of the series, everything he's thinking is bared for all of us to muse on. Like... should I get a therapist or has everyone of you guys NEVER ONCE thought of anything lewd? I mean, from what I understand, what matters is how you act on it or choose to not act at all that matters, yeah? Maybe I'm wrong but that wouldn't explain why porn sites or lewd jokes are not taboo at all... 🤔. In this case, Rudeus is definitely a horndog but at the same time, who would want a repeat of the Eris and Sara episodes?

@@fcgHenden Yeah i agree. Whether you act on the thought or not is what really matters. For example i am sure that everyone has felt the "call of the void". The weird phonomenon in which you get the urge to jump from a high place. Can also include throwing your phone in a lake or off a building or to turn into on comming traffic. You dont have to be suicidal for this to happen it is just the brain covering the strongest action you can take or it is a miscomuinication. Its a warning signal to NOT do that but you take it as an urge to do it. You dont act apon it though and almost no one ever does. The brain thinks what it wants whether you like it or not. Its up to you if you actually act apon it though. So at the end of the day i think its some people just virtual signaling trying to look like "the good guys" cause they dont like these "totally weird and creepy thoughts".

While the reunion was amazing ever since I first read this volume the novel I always felt that sylphy’s whole fear of Rudy forgetting could’ve been easily relieved if she just asked about any other silent casters he knows since it’s a very limited pool even with people he doesn’t know so it’d pretty clear if he forgot about sylphy and then they wouldn’t have to come up with such a convoluted scheme.

True, but just like any great comment or witty comeback, they are usually revealed in hindsight. Usually the best thing to say isn't the thing that comes to mind at first. Just like when someone insults you and you come up with an amazing comeback a day later, simple questions like this won't always come up when you have so much other things going on in your head/life. Its easier for us to think of these things since we are outside of said situations, but usually when in the same predicament, we'd almost always act the same way. Otherwise, we'd all have our own harem, easily strike financial deals that make us rich, and talk our way out of any difficult situation :p

Sylphy may have not realized it, but she is Rudy's childhood friend lol. Then again it could mean that hes still looking for that he was teaching, which means Eris. Yes except she was terrified of finding out that he didn't remember her. This would prove he didn't remember her as much if not more than removing the glasses. The scheme was to remind him, not to find out if he remembered her. They were working under the assumption that he had forgotten not realising he is utterly oblivious.

It was wonderfully done and I definitely felt a bit choked up during the cave scene. They did a great job with Sylphie's emotional situation all the way up to the resolution. Both of them are still dealing with their own traumas which was plainly laid out along the way. It's always a pleasure as an anime-only to get your chill, informative enhancements to what we get from the anime and six months will be a long wait until we get to hear more.

An interesting thread for the future, but the scenes of Sylphie, Ariel and Luke plotting to set up the big moment do remind us of a fundamental issue with the whole relationship between Ariel and Sylphie. This is probably going to sound a lot harsher towards Ariel than she deserves. I do believe that Ariel's friendship toward Sylphie is sincere, and that Ariel does genuinely care about her. The episode also makes it abundantly clear that Ariel sees that Sylphie obviously wants a relationship with Rudeus, and Ariel then makes sure to explicitly confirm that's what Sylphie wants before pushing forward with the plan, so she's not forcing Sylphie to do anything against her will. All that said, there is still an undeniable undercurrent throughout those scenes of "we need you to sleep with Rudeus because we think that's our best path to recruiting him as an ally". Ariel's ultimate agenda is not ensuring Sylphie's lifelong happiness, her agenda is trying to take the Asuran throne, and Sylphie is on some level just a means to that end. Ariel's and Sylphie's goals align here, but there's no guarantee that will always be the case. And as much as I believe Ariel does genuinely care for Sylphie, if she's given a choice between Sylphie's well-being and something that will give her a better chance of taking the throne, I think we have a pretty good idea which she would choose.

And the "romantic plan" to make Rudy remember her, was in a sense comedic, interesting and really original :D I didnt cry....there was just water pouring from my eyes....becouse a giant bee stinged me...yeah thats it....

Well I look at as they fell in love with each other over the past year, all the feelings that Rudy has for Fitz gets transferred to Sylphie since it was her personality that Rudy fell in love with. They got to know each other well over their friendship, and Rudy has always greatly respected Fitz/Sylphie's advice and opinions.

You could actually see the burn marks on her hand in the anime when she removes her glove to chant "red tower" through the ring. This must be the production team acknowleding the memory of the cooking incident as anime canon as well.

I have NO idea how they’re going to fit what’s left between the remaining cave scene and where it NEEDS to end gets covered in 1 more episode. I mean, I do, but only at the expense of skipping a ton of inner dialogue and visualization that makes what should be the final scene a bigger tear-jerker than this one (IMO). It would be a master class in time management. I’ve got a feeling you’re gonna have your hands full with your next video.

After the previous episode last week, I was unable to wait any longer for the anime episodes, i restorted to reading the Manga from start to finish, then when I ran out of that; I am now listening to the Light Novel on some youtube Cannel that reads it :)

@@jokerking1195, Channel is: Truck-Kun LN He does have some weird pronounciations of some words, making me think its a robot-reader, but its average pronounciation is good.
