I really hope you guys enjoyed todays episode! I pushed myself hard to work on the feedback to make an area really compact and detailed rather than moving the zoo foward another 5 square kilometers ;) What did you like most about todays video? :)

Also the episode the Rudi goes insane with ropes! Really like seeing how pretty much every major area of the zoo has some kind of circle in the aerial view, kind of a "hey, go here" spot if you were looking on a zoo map.

I loved seeing everyone's reaction as you continued through your tour of the build! It's a lot of work to do big landscaping and not finish with alot of detail, but you proved (with this more compact build) that you 'can' focus on more of the minor details like the interiors and backstage. I really love how everything is coming together with this collab! It's really awesome, I really like how you put everything together and put so in much detail!!!

This is absolutely your best build yet! The thought and detail that went into it is mind blowing. For all of the crew, I click on the Koali Zoo episodes as soon as I see them pop up. I really enjoyed your insets showing what gave you the inspiration for your building. I feel like a real newbie at building, but all of these Koali videos make me want to improve. Just dealing with the animals and their needs has gotten a bit boring, but the creativity going making a beautiful building that meets their needs is inspiring.

My favorite part of your lemur build is the interior portion--I feel the exterior feels a little out of place and your walk-through exterior portion feels like the lemurs could still climb some things and escape. Very nice to hear that you've at least thought about it, haha, but yeah--animals are resourceful as hell and I don't think it takes much for lemurs to climb a tree/bush/bamboo and jump out of a habitat. Nonetheless, you've upped your game this episode and that's great to see!
@RudiRennkamel5 жыл бұрын
Yes, its indeed a struggle between realism and how the game works realistically. But its a good point you mentioned it. I actually had the entire garden surrounded by high walls and netting. But that seem...well claustrophobic lol. So I went at least for a bit more beauty :P
@msqueen35134 жыл бұрын
Recently, I am trying to create very creative hard shelters for animals. Not necessary in the decorative sense, but trying to add animal enrichment needs such as climbing inside my shelters. I created round shelters for the lemurs with steps that circle the inner side of the shelter and outer side. They are using it and of course I put down the shelter hay bedding in places. They are two storied but could easily be made into three storied shelter.

This is so incredible! I am blown away by the detail and the charm of this habitat. I love Planet Zoo so much. I recently tried my hand at a Lemur house, and mine was completely indoor and much more vertical in its design. And, while messing around a little, I came to the idea of a guest viewing area with not only glass walls, but a glass ceiling that the Lemurs will actually climb on and walk across. And they do!

Again a nice episode here in the wonderful Koali Zoo! First the building, I really like the architectural Style of the building, it fits pretty well and also I love the idea of the two stages, the more public first stage and the calm second stage. Second the environment, I really love the entrance, the waterfall part with all that foliage around really looks gorgeous and is one of my favorite parts of this built also I like the idea of the connected backstage areas, you put in many details which make the built very realistic and I like it. And last the exhibit, I really like it, the indoor area is very nice, lots of foliage, I love the idea with the baskets as a place to sleep and the variaty of things they can climb on, also the outside garden is very calming, relaxing and nicely done with lots of detailing in light and viewabilty of the animals. All in all a nice episode with made lots of fun to watch, so thanks Rudi for the video and I see you in the next one :)

I have tried my own version of this habitat with only ring-tailed lemurs. My monorail may be a tad higher when entering the habitat. I don't like using the invisible fence, I had lemurs in the great flamingoes and flamingoes in my lemur area. Solved the issue, and really loving watching the lemurs around people in the zoo. I actually built the habitat first and added the building afterwards. NEVER do this. My building has a beautiful front porch (deck) over the greater flamingo pond, but the building itself is so all over the place, the roof was difficult, let's just call the style of architecture modern influence. I have had so much fun decorating the habitat, visitor areas and watching the lemurs run up the sidewalk paths and interacting with visitors. Love your ideas, love the inspiration.

@Rudi Rennkamel First impression: The interior of this building looks like a shopping mall, then turns into an amusement park. Final impression: The interior part looks like a mini-mall, then turns into a really fun, interactive exhibit but with an unnecessary and gaudy looking rail ride basically going right through it. I say unnecessary because a) the animals are tiny and would be hard to see anyway, and b) due to the magnificent pathing/interactive exhibit setup the walkers get a much more enjoyable experience at ground level. Personally, I would just remove that loop in the rail. Riders would still at least get a look at a really interesting area and walkers would get a much more natural looking environment if there was foliage there instead of rails and ride cars. A very aggressive habitat but just a tad too busy looking. Lovng this project, great work as usual, thanks for sharing! :)

@KingRCT35 жыл бұрын
I like that this area is smaller this time, it feels more realistic. I really enjoy the turn-around with the monorail. Now I feel like your work sometimes get a bit messy - take for instance the water fountains which are wayy too high to be usable. Or the pond for the central pillar of the monorail; while the idea is smart (having a pond so the animals can't climb onto the monorail), you then have another monorail pillar right next to it...? I don't really understand the outside architecture of the building neither. What it's trying to be; the volumes; the details.. It's a bit like stacking many scenery pieces until it looks intricate enough - but for no particular reasons. (Also, and that's a general statement not aimed at you Rudi, but having 4 people in an audio conversion is a lot, so when one is speaking, please let him/her finish. Especially Lady going "I love it" or "It's so cool" every ten seconds is a bit distracting lol)

I think the Koali franchise would be owned by Disney. As the park and overall layout are very similar and it would be a good explanation behind why each of the exhibits is so heavily themed. So it would be Disney's Koali Zoo.

That can't be enough climbing for 2 species of lemur!? I just build habitat for all 3 of them that I have, and I had to spam whole habitat full of climbing frames, climable trees and lianas. And even that wasn't enough long time, as they started breeding I have been increasing them at least twice already!? :D :/ Cool solution that they don't climb on that monorail, though. I have a bit similar problem as I have safari ride that goes through their habitat. I tried to keep them away of it with that inverse elephant grass trick, but somewhere those sneaky little bas...players manage to run its rail from time to time. Not that it matters, as they cant get killed by traffic accidents. Oh and that crazing box was also awesomely camouflaged! Didn't even realized that was it, unless that keeper wouldn't happened to be refilling it! :D Oh it was feeder, not crazing one? Close enough? :P Actually: Plant lighting is NEVER green, but reddish yellow! :P

Man lemurs need there own place to stay. Woman lemurs a dominant over man lemurs. It's a really difficult thing to put the man by the womans. The womans always have the better spots in the sun and are litteraly hire up. So make a seperate exhibit just fot the man lemurs.
