When I was 4 years old (in 1957) Rudy played at our church in El Paso, Texas. He then came to our house and played our piano. I will never forget that time and I will never cease to enjoy this man’s marvelous talent! God truly gifted him!

I would rather listen to this kind of gospel music than any other. There are several gospel pianists I listen to, but Rudy is my favorite!

I studied under him in the late 80s/early 90s ish. I studied hymn playing, Mozart, and a technique book he liked.

I whish I can find a piano teacher who can teach me to play like this. As for now, I have to just imitate this style and write some transcriptions.

@@TLCHobbies this is true. My best advice is if you play at all by ear, to study his playing style by listening to it all the time!! This is what has helped me.
