About two months ago we went to our local Humane Society and saw this one particular dog, a shar pei mix named Sadie. we asked about her and the staff said she has given up on life. She was picked up by animal control as a stray, fostered by one family and brought back, she was the most miserable little thing ever, she had mange and lost all of her hair. While all the other dogs were barking and trying to get noticed she laid as far back in her cage as she could get laying on the cold concrete floor. Well we got her out of the cage and took her to the little room to get acquainted and it was like magic she was meant to be ours. So we have her and she is just wonderful. She gets long great with our other adopted dog Cooney. After her treatment for her skin she has gown a nice tan color hair and she's happy. She sleeps on her own couch and has the appetite of a bear. I taught her to sit, lay, wait and fetch in one day. When we come home she jumps all over us in excitement. Adopt today its worth it.

It's amazing what love will do, and all of these dog and cat rescues turn out to be such beautiful animals once they are treated and restored to health. I really don't understand how anyone can be so mean and cruel to these precious souls who want to be loved and wanted, and yearn to show people their pure sweet love. That tiny desperate-eyed waif in the kill shelter cage just broke my heart to pieces. He's an awesome dog and I'm so glad to hear he had his surgery and is walking confidently now. I feed my dogs vegan and they're very healthy, since I love all animals.
