Rufus was so fucked up for this. He was acting like what she did was worse than last season. She was legit doing what she loved. The fact that he is a parent who chased his dream when he was younger and pretty much didn't want his own child to do the same. He's just bitter she's doing whatever it takes to get to her dream. I'd rather her chase her dream. Doing whatever it takes rather than being a thief like she was in season 1

i’m so fed up with her father. he literally went out his way, and HAS been going out of his way to punish her for having drive, passion & talent. something he had once upon a time and lost. i don’t know if he just hates seeing so much of himself in her but i bet if it was Dan he wouldn’t be half as upset. she’s the black sheep somehow but Dan gets to do whatever he wants, especially when he was with Serena. Dan almost got kicked out of school for going to a pool party & this man wasn’t half as upset. What a fucked up father, always criticizing her instead of being supportive. Jenny literally wouldn’t disobey as much if he was on her side every once in a while.

I agree he was just jealous because jenny had guts to actually make something more meaningful by achieving her dreams. I hate her dad tbh. Dan can do whatever the fuck he wants and Rufus wouldn't care lol.
