Imagine trying to be taken seriously as a game developer and in the initial release your camera angles are not labelled correctly.

@wrightyy I dont think i will ever understand the choice of "high" being in the game. To this day i cannot work out how high would ever mean side on. Unless its terminology, they use over in Australia. I remember in that first video believing it was going to give me a top down birds eye view of the game 😂

The game is progressing. They need to improve it in certain areas by listening to fans of the game of rugby to know what needs to be changed. Rugby 25 has a lot of potential. By choosing the path of live rugby league, the creators of Rugby 25 made a very good decision. I will wait until the beginning of September to buy it, hoping that all the updates will have fulfilled their mission. I hope the drops goals will be reviewed. ✨✨🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉✨✨✨✨✨✨✌✌

@NoahVosen im glad to see so far the things getting changed are things the community is flagging as problems, so hopefully, they stay on that path to keep improvements coming. Probably not the worst idea to wait to purchase if you want the game in a more complete state before picking it up. Drop goals need work. Same issues with the other open play kicks, you just hold down a button. Rather than you as the player having a big impact.

I wish I had your optimism. They aren't building from a decent foundation. They're plugging gaps in a rugby league game poorly re-skinned as right union. It's a disaster and an embarrassment for the developers. Don't waste your money and encourage these charlatans.

am I the only one who noticed how there are ZERO fouls in the ruck, in real life that's what shapes a match with penalty kicks and turnovers.

just need the passing to be like rugby challenge. even right before u make a pass, the player would hold the ball in two hands and then pass it. rugby challenge nailed that animation.

Thx MaD Dragon for the news update I'm in full agreement with your findings just want to add my game crashes the whole time can not play a single full game on settings 10 minutes it is frustrating but understandable early access evidence show they are working hard on the game so I'm still happy can't wait for your upcoming update videos

I think this update is a positive step in the right direction. I like how the new manual handling system seems to looks, but if I don't play the game I can't actually say how easy it is to use. Because, the majority of players have standard xbox controllers. So if it needs a special controller designed for rugby, I don't think it will work out quite well. There are crashes that still need to be addressed, but it is good to see that the tackling system has been significantly improved because it was until the previous patch a major issue. So fingers crossed, the game seems to be on track which is good news as we all wish it to become the best ever rugby game !

I'm not sure but I think you may like the passing mechanic. From what I have seen it does look a lot nicer, in past rugby games it was infuriating to see a support player, you pass to them and your player just wanks the ball to the side as it there is no player there in support.

@zaandros its really hard to describe in discord or the FAQ page what i like about the passing mechanic because it feels complex to explain, and i really wanted to show it off in the video 😂 It definitely needs refining. To make the pass choice more consistent, and then i wouldnt have to attempt it 20 times in a single video. But your bang on with older games just chucking passes in a way you would never want it to, often ruining an attack.

I am awaiting this coming out on PS4 so I'm relying on you and Bears to give your feedback on the game but from what I have seen so far, they are on the right tracks to getting a good game out 👍👍. I'd prefer the passing to be both R and L 1 as that is what I used in the other rugby games plus I also want to see more chance of turnovers than you got in the game you played but I suppose these improvements will come in later updates 😁.

the tackle motion is horrendous. RUGBY CHALLENGE has the best tackle system. This tackle system looks like it was just taken from RUGBY LEAGUE 4 and pasted onto RUGBY 25. These tackles look like they are hugging the player. It's a joke.

It seems like they have gone for a rugby challenge 4 approach to passing. I actually quite enjoyed RC4 but it was a struggle to play with a structured backline as everything turned into a Fiji's style of play. I have hope they can improve this game but its still a long way off even being as good as RC

The first game you played where you had a screen freeze and game crash has been my experience with the update. Unfortunately I havent been able to complete a full game yet without a crash. From what I have been able to experience, the game has slightly gotten better but still needs massive work in many areas.

Ive been reading some other peoples comments after this patch and crashes becomming more frequent seems to be an experience a lot of people are having. Sucks that its happenning so frequently you can even finish a single game. Im looking forward to the first large update and not these minor patches to see what gets improved.

I have also never been able to complete a game without crashing. I tried one after the update and it crashed within the first couple of minutes. Did not try again as I have enough other stuff in life to frustrate me.

@hansielategan969 that sucks mate. Ive played a handfull of games today and only 1 more crash AGAIN while playing against Spain. Weirdly my game seems stable aslong as spain arent playing. Dont know what that specific issue is.

The game still needs some improvement like offside rules more teams better mechanic like rucking just looks like a scrum and tackling is always high also they should add red/yellow cards all the island teams haka and so much more sorry for such a long message ❤❤❤love your vids man❤❤❤

Thaks mate. Yeah a lot more needs to be implemented, I am surprised rules arent fully implemented. Theres a whole setup for a scrum collapsing awarding penalties, but no offside feels odd. Seen a lot of people giving feedback on the rucks. Turnovers being improved is nice, and the turnover animations are nice that your players counter ruck, rather than the ball just pop up on your side. But agree with the visuals looking very scrum-esk. Hiping the July major update will shake it up a lot.

Are the players all the same height/size and run at the same pace? Or is there legitimate differences between players e.g. Kolbe vs Kitshoff

Unfortunately i fear going to be a long time before its coming out on console. Nice to see they are pushing small updates frequently, and are genuinely responding to feedback from the community. Hopefully the major update in July will be a big step up.

Would love to see cinematics like the haka added. Lets pray that quick tapping X to dance is not some sort of minigame they have added for you to attempt your own haka during the game 😂

So you are telling me that to get the ball back in the ruck is X on my XBOX controller! Not Y! Jeez why label it wrong and not fix that right away. I bought and returned Rugby 25 twice already. I’m just gonna wait until it gets more updates and than I’ll buy it.
