The mascots generally have quite interesting histories when it comes to the older teams. South Sydney were named the "Rabbitohs" comes from the poor background of many players who used to earn extra cash by hawking rabbits on the side. The Roosters on the other hand are so named after being inspired by a touring french rugby team's skill, style and speed. They took both the colours and the french sporting emblem. In fact most of the 'old' NRL teams are like this, but not really the new ones.

Looks better than the last one at least , it seems to be the same as Rugby League Challenge which at least zoomed in on players and you could see the numbers so you knew who had the ball , the first game camera angle was shocking so far back and high , if this is the same as Rugby Challenge in the camera angles I will be well pleased.

well the game creators can probably do whatever they want with the camera angles. and theres also the possible existence of a replay or theater mode but i highly doubt it.

Good to see Benji as the face of the game. They need a Marquet player if they are going to continue this franchise. Much like other sporting games out there, League games need there most elite players to be featured on the covers. But then again (without sounding too skeptical) I remember seeing the screenshots of RL1 and getting excited... Hope this one doesnt disappoint..

Few glitches when catching the high ball like automatic stepping sometimes or the players running through you sometimes but either way this game is AMAZING!

i hope obstructions are in this game and that the kicking is alot better more like the chip and chase, it always went too high and you had to jump to catch it and it never bounces by the time you get there, no nrl player really chips it then jumps up high to get it and that only happens if somebody is near it or is jumping up for it too, i hope there are set plays for kicks like trick kicks and just setting up the halves for 40/20s or field goals instead of second rowers being first reciever.

This needs a major overhaul from the first one. Better defence, where you don't have every player dropping off tackles, player faces for English Super League, names on the back of kits, better passing, graphics etc. The list is endless. Oh and UK commentary too. If FIFA can have two different teams of commentary then this game can too.

These shots look great , but how are they done when in there brand new game play trailer there are no real close up camera angles like these are, you cant see players close up in game play from what I hear there are only 2 camera angles in this new game, no zoom camera at all. so these shots cannot be game play.

Devastated, there was not one Knights player or Knights rep player in that whole clip. I wouldnt mind seeing them get palmed or tackled or smashed as long as my team was in it. Doesnt matter im still going to buy this game the day it comes out

It is well known that trailers and screen shots of the rugby league games always make it look 10 times better. So i wouldn't get my hopes up until you actually play the game for yourself.

Looks good, but I would like some gameplay. Although in this trailer, some of the animations look similar to Rugby Challenge.. which lead me to think the running and side stepping and tackling for that matter won't feel smooth. But again, I'll wait for some gameplay. And its about time we have another league game!

If you guys have notice the way they scored the tries and the step they do in this game is exactly like the recent game rugby challenge, it had a lot of flaws and I hope they fix it cause it looks like there using the same engine for this game and I hope they make it a smooth flowing game I been disapointed in all of them.

Exactly. They can sell 2 million copies of a soccer game without breaking a sweat. The most popular League game only sold 70,000 copies, and the most popular AFL game only sold 100,000 copies. EA and 2K wouldn't bother with such a "niche" sport. We should be thankful that TruBlue is gambling their money on such a small-selling game like this.
