Decent selection. But if you want to avoid back squats and still have a quad dominant move, I'd personally go with a lunge or a Bulgarian split squat. Better for conditioning and core strength than the leg press machine...

3-5 sets would work fine!

+Matthew Calton 3-5 minutes for strength, 2 minutes for hypertrophy. Just an estimate.

Adam depends what they are doing... might not be going full range, maybe just smaller movements similar to plyos but with weight?

beside the dumbbell row and the leg press which is a squat without the bar...

Ben McBrien leg press is a useless leg exercise in comparison to the squat unless you're looking to put on size. Substituting a squat for a leg press should only be done if you're trying to help a beginner increase their leg strength so in future they can squat or if you're a bodybuilder.
