Absolutely heartbreaking for this man and his family! What sort of monster shoves a glass in someone's face! Yet again the perpetrator had a string of convictions for GBH etc! Giving bars airport style security is a totally upside-down distortion of how society should run. The m'fer who did this had done it FIFTEEN TIMES BEFORE. He should have been in JAIL after the FIRST TIME. And you're seriously telling me the solution is to give everyone plastic pint glasses? Come off it. We need jails. LOTS AND LOTS OF JAILS. And a court system that USES THEM. The criminals should be the ones being punished, not ordinary people!!!!!!!! I despair of this place

Whats your doubts on it being unreasonable? Not having a go, genuine question. I think the glass to plastic is pretty reasonable and doesn’t take much to change. A lot of places already use plastic too. It saves on buying new glasses when they are smashed, you don’t have to worry about cleaning it up and the most important they can’t be used as a weapon. I wouldn’t want to drink out of one of those flimsy disposable cups in a bar but some places I’ve been to the only way to tell the difference is by the weight.

Usually true but this guy was off his face on drugs. Probably imagined a reason to glass him

Is he blind or does he just need to open his eyes? When you go to a place (bar) where everyone is there to get out of their heads on the drug alcohol bad things tend to happen!
