Are you sure about that? They organized the RWC so well that some teams were eliminated during the pool stage without playing all their matches. It never happened before, hopefully it will never happen again...
@Sabundy4 жыл бұрын
@@leonardobucca5459 but that had nothing to do with organization. It was due to a natural disaster. And it was the IRBs call. At the end if the day its the atmosphere, the people, the games, and the entire package that everyone remembers. As well as what a massive success the tournament was.... being the first in Asia, the first outside rugbys traditional base, and for helping to greatly expand the game in Asia (most watched and attended rugby world cup). As well as a fantastic celebration of rugby with the host nation getting 100% into it. I know... I was there in Japan. As compared to say the last world cup in France where you would be hard pressed to even know a world cup was happening.....I know I was also there and support from the public was pathetic . All of that is vastly more memorable and important than two or three missed games. If thats all you took away from it thats really too bad.
@coppo92614 жыл бұрын

I love watching the Japan team play ! In my opinion, it is perhaps the only team which still keeps the values and the spirit of the original rugby. Fair play, no willful cheating, the will to bring the ball to life, to play the ball at every opportunity. Speed, skill, pleasure to play and to practice a beautiful game. This game reminds me of French rugby from the 70s and 80s, more physical of course, but the spirit is the same. "French flair" has given way to "Japanese flair" ! Another example, I liked seeing an injured Japanese player coming off the pitch crying, turning around to greet the other players. It's an exemplary state of mind, I think. And I would love to attend a France / Japan match one day in the midst of Japanese supporters ! I am sure I would be well received, whatever the end result. Respect and friendships from Albi, Occitanie, France.

40:14 that was a nasty head clash, but fair play to the Scottish #5 for his reaction to it. Very first thing he does is to check on Japan's #2, you can see after he's visibly upset about it and then goes over and shakes hands with the Japan #2 and gives a pat on the back. This is what makes the game so special, they play hard but they don't intentionally want to hurt each other.
@maxfinger23864 жыл бұрын
This whole game was 🔥. The hit at 103:30 was textbook brutal!
Came back to watch this again. What a great game of rugby. Forgot how much tension there was. Loved the Japanese spirit so much. Really bummed we played against them in the quarters - would have supported them all the way to the final if they were playing anyone else. Must say I didn't really like how the Scots acted in the lead up to the game when it could have been cancelled. They had a full on tantrum and then during the game their hooker rolled around like a soccer player trying to milk a penality or a yellow card from a completely legal tackle. Lost a bit of respect for the Scots in this World Cup.
Great example of be careful what you ask for, simply amazing, well done Japan!

This popped up as a recommendation and I'm going to watch it again. While most will say Japan vs SA in 2015 to me this may be Japan's greatest triumph. Certainly SA in 2015 and Ireland in 2019 were bigger upsets, Japan was supposed to lose this game. This game propelled Japan further than they had ever gone and put them in the pool stages. It's importance to Japan and World Rugby gets lost behind other victories but to me this one is special.

Very few people understand the pride and heart the Japanese people have, even in history look at the Russo-Japanese war, the way also japan became a superpower with its small population, it should be a warning to someone who wants to go in battle with Japan, to be honest, if I was a Scot I would be embarrassed about this loss considering the way they complained about the game being forfeited, Credit to Japan, am a Zimbabwean but I got sooooo emotional watching these lads play. Well done JP

54:54 Now I know what "Nice try!!" is in Japanese. Unfortunately "Nice try" in English means "good effort" rather than "Great goal!", so perhaps the meaning is the same in Japanese? It's confusing when a touchdown in rugby is called a try.

@Praxis Alba Agree in a year's time we could be a great team if we can get our attack back to where it was last year. We could be serious contenders for next year's 6N if our defence stays strong and attack (mainly converting chances into points) improves. If Russell had played the England game and we had taken chances in the Ireland game we could have been heading to Cardiff with a Grand Slam on the line.
@gordon15454 жыл бұрын
That's total mince. There's not one Scotland player who could be accused of lacking passion. I'm proud of the way Scotland played that game, they gave Japan a much tougher game than Ireland did, and played rugby the right way.
