I am no hater and absolutely love Richie. However, he needs a WC win or at least a world player of the year award to be considered “the best player in the world…” as per the title.

No seriously. There is only one first five that even comes close to matching Ritchie, and that is Bauden Barrett. Both All Blacks, Daunting prospect for the opposition don't you think.

was not anymore. there are so much Rugby Players how are much better then Richie. the Springboks have the world best rugby Players. 4 times world champions. a record.

Absolute crap. Dan Carter was and always will be the best #10 to ever play the game period. Richie is good but compared to DC he doesn't come close. More over Barrett is half as good as Richie, again compared to DC Barrett isn't even in the same league.

Mo'unga and Barrett still get to lace up. DC is for the history books. With Ritchie on side Robertson will definitely have the best AB squad of this era

@@martztp1541 DC is the greatest 10 of all time. Richie is needed back to help win the next WC and Barrett although great in his time is not the player that was the World Player of the year 2 yeas in a row. All 3 are wonderful players though.

I don’t see how we are comparing DC to any of these guys smh. Dan carter is by far the most complete 10 ever and his accolades speaks volumes. I hope Richie, Dmac or even barret do great as an avid All Black fan but I still don’t see anyone touching carters coattails when it comes to being best in the world at flyhalf.
