Sledging will always be a part of the game but some teams can take it too far. What sets rugby apart from other sports is that players can leave sledges and physical hits on the park and enjoy a beer with each other afterwards.

always enjoy Max's stories- good stuff. I get the feeling sledging is very different in some rugby cultures.... down here in South Africa it's not really a thing, firstly we are not clever enough to drop clever lines - especially in English and we prefer to focus on the main thing. if it doesn't come naturally it is an unwelcome distraction. some of the Aussies and British guys seem to feed on it. SA and I suspect NZ not so much. (obvs some exceptions)
