Jeff is a winger
@kainoizking Жыл бұрын
@@ShiNooBi1986t’s still an interesting point none the less. Ardie is powerful over the ball. He’s a strong runner, out in the wide channels he has the speed and footwork of a back but also in tight his leg drive for post contact meters is unrivalled in world rugby. However he doesn’t provide much punch over the advantage line as a one off runner and he’s not particularly known for his big defence. Jacobson is known for his concrete shoulders, he is also a strong ball carrier, however not as strong as Ardie. His physicality makes him better and more efficient at clearing breakdowns than Ardie and he is also a better lineout option than Ardie. To play devils advocate, he is a better traditional number 8 than Ardie and Ardie is by far the best number 7 in the country. My loose forward trip would be Ardie at 7, Jacobson at 8 and Scooter at 6. By far a better balance than the current setup imo because Wilson is right in the sense that we do just lose so much size having Ardie and Cane on the field at the same time.

The timing on promotion / relegation for the new international competition is going to come down to how much influence Wales & Italy can exert on their 6 nations partners to hold it off for as long as possible. Particularly for Wales the extra money they can gain from this comp will help them to rebuild, and the longer that rebuilding process lasts without the risk of relegation the bigger the gap they can build between themselves and teams like Georgia, Tonga, Samoa etc.

Look I get that France is in the all blacks pool so there is a big focus on them. However, Ireland had the best defense of the six nations and France only scored one more try than Ireland in the six nations 2023 tournament. France conceded 14 tries to Irelands 6 over the whole tournament. Ireland deservedly are the best team this year not France. That's not to say they aren't amazing ,France are rightfully ranked as second. France are right about there but Ireland are there. As for Sextn he is fine he has been since April Ireland just decided to wrap him in cotton wool and give his back up Ross Byrne more game time at Leinster.

Agreed but it’s just so hard to look past home advantage. You can’t underestimate how big of a factor those frenzied French crowds will be for them.
