My 10/22 was my 14th birthday gift Dec 64, all stock until a year ago bought a custom trigger assembly. Does best with sub-sonic ammo, good day 1 1/2” high velocity 3” @ 100 yards. Thinking trans sonic at about 75 yards has something to do with it, not to mention the shakey shooter 🤷🏻‍♂️. Enjoy watching your videos and thanks. Got into air rifles about 6 years ago, tried a springer , wasn’t long then the 1st pcp and love the hobby.

My 10/22 does well with win 555 white box, as well. However, it REALLY likes the Fed auto match. All I've done is loosen up the stock mounting screw.

The standard is 5 shot group not 4. Do not let people criticize. Wanna do something do it fully, or don’t do it at all. Love your both channels , big like .

Mine own Ruger 10-22 seems to like Remington Target ammunition for 50-yard marks. At a hundred yards, the groups are disappointing. I suspect that the difference could be traced to having a a big, fancy scope made especially for .22 long rifle. It is very probably parallex adjusted for 50 yards. I guess I could just take it off and then compare 50 and hundred yard groups with the factory sights, but I just do not want to go through the effort of that and then re-mounting the scope.

Alloy old school or polymer trigger group? A handy guy like you can easily do a 1022 trigger job and drop in an aftermarket spring kit. 5 shots had more truth. But still impressive group as I can't keep them on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. Wished I wasn't 2 states away. We could learn alot plinking with one another. Thanks for video.

@@STKO2011 I watched it at 1080p *HD* _(about 30-eleventeen times!)_ and it does appear the dark area in the center of the lower of the two holes enlarges *_ever so slightly_* after you take a the 3rd shot, so a perfect hole in a hole. - The only way I could be certain was to go to 1/4 speed (when you also slowed the camera playback speed) and using the back and forward arrows on the keyboard, bounce from right after to just before the 3rd shot and I could then tell the center hole void area became a *_tiny amount smaller before_* the 3rd shot. I'd like you to try to move the target camera a lot closer so we can see such things more easily, plus then you'd have no need to fire another (4th) shot off camera - which some might use to call you out.

...and besides that, where else would it have gone? I could put my 7yr old niece on a Keystone Crickett with a scope and she wouldn't miss the whole dang target - especially after getting 2 so close together.

Can you share the formula for reading your rifling? I presume if also requires slugging the barrel?

Actually in this rifle I had to capture a fired bullet to read the rifling because 22lr bullet smash/swage their projectile

It would be nice if firearm companies and air gun companies had you test their barrels and save us all the hard work of which pellet or which bullet does well in each barrel so you can just buy it right off the shelf and no like I said I wish they'd hire you to do that work so life would be easier for the rest of us

Thats the worst .22 ammo out there too. Should only get better results with better ammo. A four pound trigger on a light rifle is asking for a flier though.

Mine was grouping 1.5 to 1.75inches at 25 yards using mini mags. Pathetic, i bought a new stock and barrel to switch over.

Everybody comments "let's see what you can do it a 100?" and you shoot 3 shots? 6:05 I can clearly see the impact to the left of the target. Not in the same hole.

If youre gonna comment get it right first off....open your eyes and turn video speed down to .25x you can clearly see it went in the bottom hole on the right side and secondly it was a 4 shot group cause I couldn't tell it went it same hole with out looking at the recording on a computer screen during editing

@@STKO2011 The 3rd shot appeared to have slightly opened up the bottom of the then only 2 holes. David Taillon is confused by the debris falling on the left side of the target, but it falls after *EVERY* shot.

@@STKO2011 4 shots? Are you sure about that? The quarter-speed shot is a repeat of shot #3 - look at the position of your trigger finger. You even state at 6:49 and 7:33 it was a 3-shot group. Also, the target you retrieved looks different. Compare the target shown at 6:11 with the target you're holding at 7:29. The target you're holding shows a shot that is centered on the right orange crosshair of the target. It is touching but distinct from shot just below it, and is almost touching shot #1. Nothing like that in the target shown when you get up from the bench. From that distance, the three shots should have looked like one ragged hole through the camera. But instead, there are two distinct holes.
