Had mine for 3 or so months now. Have a 7+1 and 9+1 round mag for it. I've shot over 1500 rounds of literally all kinds of target and self defense ammo through it including some +p. Have not had one single jam or misfeed. Excellent conceal carry pistol. You can trust this pistol with your life!

I had 1 jam, but that’s because I didn’t hitch it back all the way. Had to rest like what he said and after that, put 150 rounds. Works well for me

Just bought that EC9 today. My first gun purchase and bought it for the reasons you stated. A small pistol, slim, easy to carry/conceal, not too heavy. I hadn’t used a gun for 30 years! I hit the practice target all 10 times! I was surprised that little pistol could have so much recoil, but I really like it. Thanks for the video!

Trust me the recoil on this is not as bad as some other micro pistols!!! It's still there, but I've had some micro 380's that were worse!!! Like some of the tiny keltecs or the taurus tcp!!!

Can I shoot 124 gr. plus P Good Dots through this gun? I wouldn’t shoot them at the range, but rather just carry them when I CCW.

I just picked up the EC9 and couldn’t be happier. It’s my EDC because it’s got the stopping power I need it’s compact and well built. Hit it on the head that it’s a “ get the hell away from me gun “ so I’m not to bent about the fixed sights. I did the same thing except on the sights closest to me I also put a small dab of florecent green nail polish on them. Works like a charm. Considering the cost it’s a great value. Absolutely love it.

This gun is VERY good for new shooters. You just have to educate yourself on the safety of smaller guns. They are much more dangerous and harder to handle which contradicts how we think it should be. Im no gun expert but I decided to educate myself on what I was getting into when I picked up semiautomatics. This gun has a safety that locks the trigger. It also locks open after you have shot all bullets out of it for safety or alertness , Im guessing. So you have to slide it back closed before reloading. Its not very good with accuracy BUT you can DEFINITELY hit your target if you shoot it at an angle because this gun USUALLY shoots toward the right no matter what. Its one of my favorite guns and is JUST right for protection and rookies. Plus CONCEALED carry. Its .380 sized BUT a 9mm caliber. Beautiful ❤❤❤

I really like the long beefy rails instead of puny tabs for such a small pistol which helps control muzzle flip abit and accuracy!!!

I’ve got one also, same grip too. But, you can add an extra round to the stock mag. There’s a spring replacement from MagGuts, literally took me 10 minutes and now I can carry that 8+1 with the original mag and pinky extension. Awesome little gun, don’t leave home without it.

I carry this daily even when I go run or workout not as discrete as the LCP but I don’t feel comfortable with 380’s the 9mm gives me a sense of security especially with hollow points

They do make an LCP in 9mm, just so you know.

@@robertwhitby5192 No they do not. These are the models. The Lc9s Pro, The Lc9, The Ec9, and the Ec9s. The "s" models are simply striker fired pistols apposed to having a hammer. The Ec9 is a "cheaper" version of the Lc9. The Lc9 is the larger version of the LcP & The LcP II

The EC9s is my EDC and it makes a great pocket carry, is very concealable and that's the point isn't it? I've put a Crimson Trace laser red dot on it, and it is quite accurate (2" group) at 7 yards. I've had no failed to feed and only one failed to fire in 800+ rounds and that one was a *_Winchester White Box_* and it was NOT a light primer strike. I totally blame that on Winchester. I've found this gun to be totally reliable when used with good ammunition, is easy to break down and clean, and could not be happier with it. In my opinion, this is the best of the lower budget EDC 9's for a pocket conceal carry. It is the pocket gun that you will always have with you. Only the most focused CWP owners will put on a holster every time he leaves the house, let alone have it on when he's fixing breakfast. In todays world, you need to have your gun withing reach *_at all times!_* Doesn't do you any good to be in the bedroom or by the front door when the home invaders break that front door down!

I love my ecs, shoots nuts on. The trigger on the newer models is great. You can always get the Mcarbo trigger spring that makes it even better.

Yeah I first bought the LC nine not long after it came out. The trigger was awful. I sold it and bought the EC 9S. Hundred percent improvement. That’s my main carry pistol.

I had the LC9S, and really wanted to like it, but when using the 9rd magazine, it would fail to feed. Called Ruger, and they sent a new mag, but that one failed also. Then it would jam with the 7rd mag, so finally I ditched it for something else. The funny part about that is I have owned a original model LCP for about 10 years now, and too date, it has never failed.

Good video, I just purchased this pistol the other day, I also purchased the 9 round extra mag too. This weapon fits nicely in my hand and the price is $200 less than everything else I seen in the gun store. I was going to purchase a used 380 Walther PPK, that was until I seen this new in the box Ruger 9mm. I have 2 of the extended mags for mine and they're $36.99/each. I like this pistol. In a self defense situation, I would be concerned about it's lack of accuracy due to the sights and it's short barrel. It is also very snappy as it is very compact. That doesn't stop me from carrying it though. Thanks for the review.

I’ve had the LC9 Pro for years and i prefer a carry gun without a slide safety and a magazine disconnect. Mine is very accurate and easy to shoot with Talon grips.

Both have jamming issues, but the EC9s with Hornady Critical Defense 115 grain is my CC daily carry, magazine loaded with 6 works best for me.

I put over 5k rds in mine with no hiccups and I have run everything from critical duty to red army and wolf and tula and it eats it all, and I know several guys in the same boat with their G3 pistols!!! Also the g3 reliably operates with sig p226 mags!!! From the 15 rounders to the 20 rounders I have tried them!!!

I too have a ec9s pistol. Did the 9 rd mags work well. Yes they are expensive. I found them at the mag shack for $31.99 and good video except a report on the 9 round mags.

My EC9s shoots low with this same ammo and don’t know if it’s just me but my groups shot more dead on when I ran my 135grain +p hornady critical duty carry load through it but that was also my very last group so I could have been compensating but I don’t believe so my habit is to center hold so I’m sure that’s what I did.

I wish I would have purchased this gun. Instead I purchased the Ruger LCP in .380. .380 is such a rare bullet that I can not find it. We have lots of 9mm ammo for sale, since it is such a common round.

I would like for you to shoot hollow Points. Regular full metal Jacket are no problem. Try several hollow points and I guarantee you will have ftf.

I have had one of these for over a year. Its been "ok". The firing pin on the striker broke before 200 rounds.. Ruger replaced it for free. That magazine spring got weak after keeping it loaded (my fault I guess) and Ruger replaced that too for free even sent a whole new mag. It has fed hot ammo perfectly but has had issues with your basic plinker ammo like white box giving stove pipes. Its not a bad gun, but on a do over i'm not sure i'd pick this gun up.
