Just ordered my spring. Very disappointed with LCPII. Just had to replace extractor parts.Parts went flying out last time at the gun range.Repaired the gun and took it back to gun range worked as intended.Developed a new problem had several magazine release. Hate to be in a gun fight with that piece of junk. Will see how it works out when I get the part.Very good instructional video thanks.

Thank you so much for this. I just bought the LCP 2 and have been watching amateur videos about upgrades to it. Yours is by far the most detailed. You’re obviously a gunsmith. I’m an engineer who never engineered guns, but we speak the same language. I first noticed how the magazine releases too easily. (Needs a better spring of course) With the stock gun, I can press it on a table and the magazine pops right out. Not good. It’ll do that in your pocket as well. I’ve already planned a few upgrades as far as grips, but thank you for showing the magazine spring upgrade. I’ll definitely do this one. It’s funny how gun manufacturers just put something out there and then there’s all these mechanical upgrades that gunsmiths figure out. Well, Ruger is trying to sell a gun. Then, we watch videos about how to make it better. Such is life my friend. Mechanics and engineering are what makes the world go round. Thanks for the very detailed and excellent upgrade of the LCP 2 mag spring. That original wants to pop out with the slightest bump. Jeez.

I've bought the spring from M.Carbo and it is considerably stiffer with a higher preload, good work guys. Just a couple of quick notes; on my brand new LCP II the mag dropped even with my thump deliberately held away from the gun while firing, and test fired it several times to confirm it and it was still dropping, so this is not necessarily a user error. Also, on my LCP II the takedown pin does not have a screwdriver slot / 2 dimples, had to just push it out from the far side. The groove on this pin is circular also. The raised step for the serial number is high, I had to use 2 small screwdrivers at both ends of the step just to able to clear it. Thankfully the is a ramp molded into the frame for reassembly. Again, good work.

I've a LCP very recently acquired. No problems thus far. I'll keep M-Carbo in mind. A series of models with mag releasing while in pocket holsters are Beretta 950 Jetfire, 21A Bobcat, and 3032 Tomcat which share some common parts. Those common parts include the mag release spring and button.

I need trigger spring kits for two Browning X bolts. The so called “ feather trigger” is “fully adjustable” but only down to about five lbs. Getting cagey nowadays like Ruger. M carbo is unavailable up here in Canada.🇨🇦

I received my mag release spring from FedEx, was happy and all. Went to install it, and I didn't have a hold of the top of the spring, and it launched to the nether regions of my house somewhere, probably never to be found again. I spent 4 hours looking and gave up. Bottom line, it was my fault. I just re-ordered the spring again FedEx 2 day shipping. It was a costly $18.90 mistake on my part. Life sometimes is learning how to do things the hard way. I can't wait to get the improved spring installed though.

I just did the same damn thing...waiting on USPS now. Sigh. The MCarbo flat trigger makes a hell of an improvement in feel, although I ended up sticking with the original trigger reset spring. Reduced power one was too flimsy feeling.

I was lucky enough to find all parts to my lcp 2 as several things fell and launched to replace mag spring made alot of mistakes but now I know how everything works luckily I noticed last range trip that my magazine was falling out every few shots.....I usually carry my lcp 2 as a backup gun

When working with pins and springs ( don't laugh) I started doing them while sitting in thr shower with the drain plugged....let the spring fly I'll find it.

@@dk15watup I have not been impressed with with Rugers. I have a 10/22, and it seems everything has to be upgraded just for it it work well or where it should be. I don't know if it's hit and miss with their firearms, or it's just lower quality. I am going to try this. The last thing I need is a reliability issue with a firearm if it will function or not. Shame on Ruger for not contacting it's customers on these issues or potential issues. I was going to ditch this and go with something else.

Ive heard it was a problem in the lcp you would think they would have fixed it in lcp 2 smh this is my only ruger I got Mossberg 702 22lr love it I think the 10/22 popular because all the aftermarket parts to u can get for it. I thought about getting one to put a binary trigger in it as a range gun

Same issue. Installed the spring and took the gun to the range. 100 rounds with 0 mag drops. Worked for me.

Beginning of video and title the parts do cross over LCP/LCP II and the .22? (Some do) I have been eye balling Trigger spring kit and Mag release springs I will be 100% honest It is an LCP not the 2 the non dash serial at that....I am sure might be one or two more on the fence as I am worried about fit, Spring kits cross over fairly well no fitting? Snap in as videos display? Making the weapon better is always a plus pulling apart to find parts need tooling well not fun for anyone.

First of Chris, I am thankful for MCarbo spring Kits & instructions videos!And for he Customer service when I forgot a kit and added a second order to that day and MCarbo combined them and refunded the extra shipping, I appreciate the extra effort! But It's a;ways good to get some spring porn out of Chris.. "Aww Man that Feels Good!" Which I think it's said after each test of a kit install! @@ME98878 I had the gun back but the range is still closed I will have to fire it to see if it is fixed. they said they changed the magazine release latch and the spring, will find out if this took care of it once the range is open.

@Elmer V Shot the gun and it shoots fine now without dropping the magazine, but in order for them to fix the issue with the magazine drop they had to change the magazine catch spring and push the mag catch to the left resulting in obstruction to the magazine while inserting it, now I had to push the magazine catch while inserting the magazine in order for the mag to go all the way up. it is a know issue with the gun that they do not really have a good fix for.
