Just did an update on an old Ruhan deck, and let's just say it's really fun to build this guy with a double strike, multiple combat, unblockable theme to the deck. Malignus and Elbrus, the Binding Blade are like two secret commanders in the deck that can be surprising alternate win-cons, but most of the time I'm just trying to make Ruhan's attacks really count each turn and take opponents by surprise who may be sleeping on him simply because it's not known before each combat who he's going to swing at.

You forgot that the player winning with Ruhan has to jump on the table and has to shout "RUUUUHAAAAAAAN" out with his bloodstained face after smashing those of his enemies! So brutal.

My Fomori build is actually a Superfriends deck. I call it "Distraction Friends". I have this ig huge 7/7 going mental on hte board and people are all trying to deal with it while I set up some planeswalkers that are my ACTUAL win conditions.

Ironically enough, I'm watching this video while goldfishing my Marath deck. Any deck tech that mentions Sunforger gets an instant +1 in my book. I gotta ask, though, no nod to Umezawa's Jitte? It's fantastic at getting rid of one of Ruhan's biggest obstacles -- an opposing Mother of Runes. No Orim's Thunder or Wild Ricochet, either? The former is a superb 2-for-1 I've always sworn by, and the latter has more value than a counterspell on anything it's live against. I love the deck idea, though. Equipment is one of my favorite subtypes in Magic and I love this deck tech. Thank you for sharing, Wedge! :)

I hope you are working on a deck tech for Hedron Alignment! The card is amazing! If you haven't found a good way to use it efficiently, I may have found a nice easy way. The two main cards besides the Alignment are Bane Alley Broker and Disciple of Deceit. Using the Broker to exile a Hedron, and the Disciple to find the rest. The rest of the deck is 3 drop spells like Read the Bones and Divination to search for the Broker or Disciple and Cancel and Murder (Asphyxiate and Assassination work too) for disruption and removal. Basically good 3 drops that you can discard to tutor with the Disciple when needed. With the right hand, it is a quick win with the weird enchantment.

I like Gisella, Blade of Goldknight. She is by far one of the most powerful power puff girls and combined with Arellia the warleader makes combat for any Voltron based straregy in these collors stupid good.

I play far left field, so my Temur deck heading Surrak Dragonclaw has been becoming more and more Giant Tribal themed over the last year, and I've been thinking about maybe dissecting the tribal and running the Giant tribal theme under Ruhan. I seriously doubt it's any good, or that you'd do a video on "Giant Tribal", but I love them. I want to get access to red/white and white giants, which would really push the tribal theme, but the green aspect of Temur gives it a lot of hitting power and consistency. Thoughts?

if it can be afforded, volcanic island, tundra, and plateau for lands, as well as mana drain. less expensive cards: i would personaly add turn//burn, Pongify, Brainstorm and Counterspell

Hey Wedge iv'e built quite a few commanders thanks to my decision to not waste money on expensive manabase on casual only decks, if you don't mind i would like too see your opinion on some of those commanders to know how to improve them without looking only on EDHrec.com because the different aspects the decks can take are all mashed up in a single list. Without further or due here's my list of commanders. Karador (fatty reanimation) Kemba (both tokens and equipment based) Geralph (giant zombies) Tiania (Sac A Land) Uril (curse you Bonds of Mortality) Narset (I used to run Armageddon but I got banned from playing with my friends for that) Meren\Mazirek (you can switch between the two) Nath (discard shenanigans) and finally Reaper King (yes Reaper King, deal with it)... (it's a combo deck)

I'd love it if you can give it more attention with the fanbase you have. Restrictions List (restricted to 1) --- • Treasure Cruise • Preordain • Grapeshot • Ponder • Golgari Grave Troll • Lotus Bloom • Hive Mind • Diabolic Tutor [Anyways, you should try the format yourself and with your friends. The meta that ik of Is pretty diverse. Heck your old Standard decks can be viable with some tweaks]

Why don't we ever see treparnation blade in any decks that run equipment. I really like it since it can basically ruin any opponents strategy's set up for later turns. Especially if you're running Strionic Resonator, because then you can activate the effect twice, causing even more chaos.

blade of selves make copies of the attacking creature. since ruhan is a legendary creature you will have to sac them all. because of the one of a kind legendary rule.
