Celso Canaan (dono da loja de discos Pop Rock em 1971):
"Nesta epoca eramos os Icones do Rock. Foi algo sem precedente, mas valeu! Deixamos um nome p/ ser lembrado pelos amantes do Rock em Belô"
Jairo Guedz :
I think that the strongest (metal) scene was that from BH, I have no doubt about that.
BH was already turning into a Heavy Metal hub.

BH, THE CAPITAL OF METAL IN BRAZIL !

01:10 (a small, but perceptible noise). I did not hear anything.
Gerald (Sarcófago) : Around 1980, we were living here near to the cemetery and such, a friend of ours arrived and spoke: Hey, I'm gonna show you something, this stuff here is ROCK! Paulo Xisto: I began, in fact, listening to Heavy Metal kind of...by myself. I was already into rock. Then we created that community at that time, a rockers community.
Cláudio ( Overdose ): Well, at the beginning we had only Pop Rock ( a record store) , you know? I think it was owned by Nelson and Celso, who were my cousins, and such. Then we started to like, I and Ricardo, we started to like metal since, I'm not sure, in the 70's. Since the 70's. As a matter of fact, since when Metal began. In fact, that was the beginning of metal.
Valério ( Holocausto ): I had a friend that was from the city of Juiz de Fora, which is close to the state of Rio de Janeiro, where there was a radio station called Fluminense, A Maldita (The Cursed). "The Cursed" was already air playing, I do not know if throughout its whole time-table, whatever, or if it had a specific show that was already airing most recent Metal stuff, something new, which still hadn't reached Brazil then...
