How does this stuff not thin out ur natural nails? Mine get so thin, it's tender and pink, and u can almost see the meat under my nail. And I NEVER get acrylics. When I do, I get it done 3 tines max and my nails are just done for. All that filing down, all the layers of ur natural nail coming off. It's so rough on the natural nail. I have no clue how girls do it for years. How are ur natural nails not completely GONE?! 😅 like Damn. OUCH. No matter how many vitamins I take, or how long I go without using any nails products other than nail growth types of things, I STILL CANT do it more than a few times. When I say tender, I mean there's no more nail to file!! Ur filing the literal meat under my nail 😳😶‍🌫️😭😫😫 I get goodnunps now seeing ppl file the natural nail, I just know the pain.

My daughter went to a shop and asked for new set. They proceeded to PEEL off her acrylic nails. She was to afraid to speak up and ask them to soak them off. So I asked why not soak them off. The technicians reply pissed me off. He said because it takes too long. He ended up tearing a few nail beds and made her nail beds so sore she had to soak in ice water. She also did not get her nails redone because of the damage he had caused. Needless to say he lost us both as long time customers.

And some that were, are bullied into doing nails the Salon owner's way to cut corners, save product..Speed and volume of customers are more important to those salons than the Health of your nails. I’ve gone to expensive places and still get lifting, green nails, weird smells and it’s so annoying to pay that much just to have problems. I recently glued on a set at home that I bought because I’m pregnant and can’t smell the acrylic. It was the best decision ever! I got so many compliments and it lasted me longer, until I got bored of the design without lifting or breaking at all. It even fit perfectly I’m so happy to do this again because my nails are not brittle at all like after the acrylics ❤

This is exactly why I get a deluxe pedicure and manicure with gel polish on my natural nails. I get them shaped the same, but I don’t let them even out the length. I went to an expensive salon once, I left with bleeding fingers but i didn’t think much about it. after a week or so I had blinding pain under my nails - so I spent like 2 hours filling and soaking the worst one. Turns out my natural nail had spilt in the nail bed. The rest followed. So basically they had been made so weak during prep and the acrylics were way to thick. 2 months later and they’re still recovering. Rip.

Hi thanks for your professional videos. 🌹 I am learning to do nails, I recently took a set off and found green mould on my finger tips. 😮 Should I treat it first completely and then do the false nails again or can I wear another set on top and let it grow out? The greenies came because water got into the cracks and stayed there.
@purdledragon
@purdledragon Жыл бұрын
You definitely need to treat it & not cover it straight back up. It won't grow out if you keep putting sets over the top, especially if you're still learning & perfecting your techniques because if you do another set that cracks or lifts & moisture gets in then it'll just get way worse! Once a nail tech has perfected their prep & application & sanitisation routine then there's the option of leaving one greenie nail with a clear extension after initial treatment so they can observe changes; but multiple nails with greenies on an inexperienced tech... just don't risk it. Its very much worth considering what might have been the cause of the cracks that let the moisture in. Was it wear & tear? Tools? Prep? Product? Application? Is there something you could brush up on or just something you skipped because you were working on yourself & not a client? The possible silver lining - there's probably something to be learned here so you don't repeat this, & at least it happened to you rather than a client! Im sure you'll have gorgeous nails again in no time x

I tried a new tube/gel consistency kind this last time I did my full covers, and either it needs more curing time than my "polish on" gel nail glue, or it is just shizzy glue (lol), bc they started lifting pretty immediately. My brush on/polish glue is quick to cure and holds for *weeks* unless there's some accident, etc.
