Yup. When I go back and watch these videos, I notice that Cotton is more versatile and capable than Josh. Josh relies on one weapon exclusively while being uncomfortable playing other weapons. Cotton on the other hand can play comfortably with all other weapons and carries him through most of the fights.

Overall I love Ruiner, I just wish he had his divebomb, he lacks an attack that really adds the danger of being 1 shot, though all his attacks hit hard, enough to warrant healing for most.. Though he is absolutely the definition of aggressive mobility.

RageGamingVideos this is a theory. The metal looking spikes are actually energy drawn based spikes where he would sleep in the elders recess. With the ever crystals. We also have to remember the Nerg has a remarkable ability to rapidly recover/regenerate, so honestly who to say that we actually "slay him"? So Ruiner is just another elder dragon to absorb energy from the ever stream, and is now "stronger".

Nergigante theoretically could beat a Fatalis in the right conditions,.. what i think is that Nergigante as a species can naturally evolve to combat whatever monster is irregularly disrupting the natural flow of life,.. given enough time we could have seen what a Nergigante would have evolved to combat a Zorah Magdaros. Let's just get this out of the way right now, Nergigante wasn't even thought up when they created the likes of Black Dragons, or any of the BIG monsters,.. And it was in Iceborne that we are given more knowledge on Nergigante,... AND if push comes to shove, we can just say that Nergigante has always only lived in and around the New World. So this makes me wonder soooo many different fun things,.. One: Could a Nergigante evolve to combat Alatreon and Dire Miralas? "Fatalis actually just kinda keeps to itself so it doesn't disrupt nature unlike the other two who are literal walking ecological cataclysms' Two: Could a Nergigante evolve to combat the other Big Ecological threats? namely Nakarkos and Shagaru Magala,.. I can see a Nergigante evolve to be immune to Nakarkos's tar and Shagaru Magala's Virus,.. and honestly that would be enough, with how fast and aggressive Nergigante are when it comes to fighting. Three: We only know of one deep sea water elder dragon, 'so far~' But could a Nergigante evolve to combat a Ceadeus, a Monster that can threaten the natural ecosystem and way of life while being Underwater?.. I could actually see a Nergigante evolve to have more slimmer/slicked back spikes to help maneuver in the water,.. and 'biologically' have a larger lung capacity to stay in the water for a long enough period of time. I know everyone loves their Black Dragons and their just below black dragon Monsters,.. but maybe just this once have some fun and give Nergigante a chance,.. to be that monster that could kill the monster that you would proudly say "Only a Fatalis could beat it!" Because Nergigante gives us the opportunity to have a natural counter to these near impossible monsters! and it's fun to think of how a Nergigante could naturally adapt/evolve to counter what makes that one impossible monster so threatening!! Honestly i would find that Alatreon could be the most threatening to Nergigante, if not the fact that that Alatreon doesn't really have full control of it's elemental powers, so it can't just exclusively use thunder attacks. but that chaotic elemental mess of a monster is still a wild card that could have an interesting reaction to how a Nergigante could adapt to 'even to a point that it would be a thick/larged spiked Nergigante with near immunity/one star resistance to all elements. And now come to think of it, Maybe we didn't see a special Nergigante that combats Zorah, is because it was already doing what we have been doing, attacking enough until we repel Zorah,.. i mean, this can't be an isolated case of a Zorah being drawn to the everstream, so maybe past Nergigante have always been able to repel a Zorah before it enters the Everstream.

I don’t think the spikes are actually metal instead more like the crystals in the Elder’s Recess having the energy elder dragons that Ruiner nergi has consumed it would also explain why they don’t grow back he needs to consume more elder dragons to grow back those spikes. Also it is said that Nergi gets those spikes after many battles which also supports the idea of being spikes with Elder dragon energy since he would need to consume a lot of them.
