Wrong! - the rule 35(K)says: A pilot vessel, when engaged on pilotage duty, may "IN ADDITION" (Not "instead" as you say) to the signals prescribed in paragraphs (a), (b) or (g) of this Rule, sound an identity signal consisting of: 4 short blasts. example: ______ * * * * ≤ 2 minutes (pilot under way) ______ ______ * * * * ≤ 2 minutes (pilot stopped)
