I learned more on how to play this game by watching your video than I have reading the manual and guessing my way through 64 hours of play. Thanks!

A piece of advice for the next time you have a surprise carrier attack, if you order strikes before you advance any time, it will skip the arming and spotting phase and immediately begin the launching of planes. This can maximize the time of surprise of the enemy and give a more effective surprise attack.

Question: Is it usefull to try to get closer with the BBs first and them send out the planes so they can hit at a closer time? (I only play Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts, but I'll will buy Rule the Waves soon.)
@spigotsandcogs Жыл бұрын
@@adrielcamilo2564 Under most circumstances, it's best to strike as soon as you have confirmation of the enemy's location. A battleship engagement is much better to take if their line has been softened by airstrikes first!

you can always tell your CV strikes to prioritize CVs or BBs when you are setting up the strike, its a drop menu along the top row in the middle

I'm currently watching your playthrough of RTW II, where it appears to be quite a buggy disaster of a game. That was three years ago and I'm sure the game has matured. What was your opinion of RTW II when you last played it? Were most of the bugs fixed? Thanks!

RtW2 today is a far more stable and functional game than upon release. There are occasional bugs, but none that greatly hurt the experience. At worse, you’ll have the battle generator fail to put squads that should be in the battle. That’s the only bug I still see now. But it’s rare and not a great detriment. That said, there will be no reason to purchase RtW2 as RtW3 will include all the same features with much more added.

@@spigotsandcogs Thank you for your help and answer. I did ask the same question on the Steam forum, and one of the developers answered with a similar response. Have a good week.

Curiously enough, after all this time I did not remember a particularly buggy playthrough of RTW2. Goes to show how selective memory can be. For RTW3 there are some, but I am also on a pre-release version, so it’s to be expected. Nothing really game breaking so far.

@@SeriousStrategyGamer Oh believe me, there were once bugs aplenty. On release, a quarter of the tech tree didn’t work, MTBs would hard crash the game, and seaplane carriers were in fact incapable of carrying seaplanes.

It took a long 5 minutes for the Japanese to lose their carriers at Midway.

Yeah, I am utterly paranoid to hit the five minute timer… 😅
