For this case in the Netherlands, I think viaplay has to do with it. Before darts was shown om the open channel of RTL which attracted lots of viewers and all players were hugely sympathyzed. Now people stopped watching because of the ridiculous viaplay prizes an the “fans” dont have sympathy with players anymore who are not Dutch. It is a shame that Viaplay are just criminals really.

Yeah. It's mad how players seem to have an edge over a certain player. Price beats mvg often just now and clayton beats price. Only for mvg to beat clayton multiple times so it sa funny old game but that's what makes darts the most exciting sport in the world imo. The booing wasn't even that intense, especially compared to UK tournaments or the WC. It's also mostly caused by drunks and that's interesting because PDC encourages the crowd to drink all day. Which is great, but this is a consequence.
