Very well said. Trying to explain and clarify things that are already clear in the quran and sunnah... why do people make it an obligation to buy a house? To many reasons to make the haram into halal... why? Thats why it is considered to be war against Allah and his messenger. Can't get any more clear.

In Europe, all the houses you rent are mortgaged. So you are basically paying someone else’s mortgage (and the property owner is making a small profit from it and he will keep on buying more properties from that profit all on interest). I know landlords who buy new properties every 2/3 years from the money they have saved from rental income. So can any Mufti explain logically how is mortgaging a home worse than this? It is like saying my house is clean if I throw all the garbage in the street and let somebody else deal with it. Islamic Ulemas need to understand how the modern financial system works now and come up with a solution for this. Most of the Islamic Ulemas have no clue about how the world works. I am sure most of them have bank accounts with deposits which banks use to lend money on interest in the first place. I work in finance and in substance, Islamic banking is no different to commercial banking and its a joke how they are ripping off Muslims in the name of religion. I am living in your Europe and paying 60% of my salary in rent and barely able to provide for my family with what is left, while the people who mortgage are only paying 30-40% of their income towards bank payments. I can understand it where the rentals are decent like the middle east but in Europe, renting is becoming impossible. Surely Islam will not make us choose between feeding your family properly or housing them?

This calls for non-profit Gold based Community Islamic Banking system: I think this how it should work - Bank will be inherently riskier that's for sure. - Bank will not simply store but more like a hedge fund/investor and buy local businesses. - Bank will loan money in terms of value of gold so at least if investors are not making profit they are at least somewhat protected from inflation. The borrowers will have to pay back whatever the price of Gold is at the time (higher/lower) So basically investing arm of the bank will help grow your money but at the same time help the community get out of paying mortgage for others.

My family has paid 100k in rent living in my current place now (for about 11yrs)he is kicking us out. We are family of 7 ppl living in tiny 2 bd room house. Rent for new places is extremely expensive and my dad is old who will not be able to work for much longer. This is why ppl dont want to rent anymore. Also rent is sooo much more than mortgage payments.

Yes the process of rent inflation started with the cap rate of houses under riba. It started from there riba, if you wish to contribute to the system it is up to you. In reality rent should not increase if there is no riba as there is plenty of land

It’s hard in western countries. You can rent a place then be asked to move a few months later. You can move from house to house, city to city, and keep moving until the day you die. Moving is expensive. The rental market it competitive. People get knocked back and run out of time to find a new place to live. You can’t compare the economic times of the Prophet SAW to current economics. People can do everything possible to be a good muslim/human, pray, fast, give to the poor and buying a house to house their kids will be their ticket to hell?

that kind of Fatwa screwed my life.I personally moved out of the state to Iraq because of such idiot sheiks .I use to work in high pay jobs and career goal was set to its highest expectation but couldn't buy house just because I don't have the cash for it.later on the prices went extremely high more than double to what it was 5 years ago now after I realize this Fatwa cost more than 500K.Prophets Mohamed peace upon him wasn't paying mortgage because Sahaba build house for him.if I want to move to another house and called my friends to help they won't answer my call if they knew I am moving unless I pay them.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding, if you want to create a business portfolio and share gains/losses it's fine. You have to be specific. No one said leveraging is haram

@@tarekjah6672 When I say leverage I mean borrowing money, for example, instead of spending 350k on a car, I can put that as a downpayment on a property, which the bank would finance at 3% which is lower than inflation (free money), and the revenue generated would make the car payment, with historically low interest rates, borrowing money makes financial sense, as far as islamic banking goes, how it's done in North America and around the world is the same as usury, there's merely a difference in terminology

Apart from the down payment it is not the same thing. The investor provides the capital for the business venture and the rules of liquidation are different. 3% is not free regardless of what you say. It is still 3%. I get you make money on spread but still not the same. Fundamentally different structure. You are talking from a position of a certain economic climate which changes the dynamics as can be seen for your love to borrow in this climate which I understand but does not make it correct

islamic banking is fraud literally, nothing islamic about it Three ways to Islamic banking works - bank buys and rents you as you slowly pay your share (halal, but extremely expensive) - bank buys a house with you and you buy it at market price slowly over time, whether it's higher or lower than original price (halal, but most banks don't like the deal) - bank buys a house and sell it to you for a higher price (this is the most common model HOWEVER, in my opinion it's just a loop hole, bank doesn't buy it UNLESS you accept that you will buy it for a higher price, which is riba with extra steps. If bank said ill buy it but then list it for $x+1 and you will have the option to buy it or not, it'd have been fine, but if bank says i'll buy it only you agree to pay $x+1, then how is it different from: I'll loan you $10k worth of Silver but You have to pay me back $15k in cash. I don't know about you sounds like profit on cash.

These schemes are very doubtful, more expensive, i did a lot of research, spoke to Ar rayan bank etc, but was never convinced enough to take a deal. So i stayed away, Alhamduliah. Allah subhana blessed me and opened other doors for me n my family, Alhamdulilah, He is the best in rewarding, in this world and hereafter. Wallah u Aa'lam.
