Rumba rhythm- Spanish Guitar

Me playing some simple spanish/classical guitar.
Not the best of instruments (or the best of players) so forgive the inadequacies of both ;-)
My fingers were killing me, I hadn't played in a while...

Oddly, I didn't used to like this sort of music at all. But it's grown on me... there really is a distinct difference between listening to music and making music. It's interesting- like the difference between listening to singing and actually singing yourself ;-) two very different enjoyments.

ThankYOU! Yes, I like most people was completely unaware of all that was involved in playing, before I started. I now have real appreciation for the work that goes into being a truly proficient musician (I don't consider myself one!- ;-)) Sometimes artists/musicians make what they are doing seem so effortless, which is what many people think of as "talent." I often think though that the talent is less in the physical execution and more in the desire/willingness to work hard at it. Thanks! :D

Good playing. Yes, you got a wait until the sound dies off. My brother used to play classical guitar, sometimes all day long in his room. He listened to PePe Romeo, is it? for hours in end while I'll be listening to arias from various tenors. I play little bit myself but not as good as you can.

Thanks! Well flamenco is a great genre to explore! If you are used to rock you probably have a fast left hand which will come in handy with flamenco; the only problem is, if you are used to a flatpick, flamenco is rarely if ever played with a flatpick because you really need all your fingers. I grow my right-hand nails a bit long, as most flamenco players do, but I'm thinking of experimenting with fingerpicks since my sister assures me that long nails are disgusting on men, period. :-| :-P
